As a Liquor Liability-insured, Tips-certified bartender I am committed to two things above all else: (1) making Every customer experience as pleasurable as possible and (2) providing freelance bartenders with profitable opportunities to showcase their talent.
I represent a group of independently operating Tips-certified bartenders, experienced in the following areas:

As an event planner, I’ve worked with many different vendors who all bring their invaluable expertise and experience to the table. Anton and Crissy blew me away though!
From start to finish, Anton was amazing. When we decided to increase the number of bartenders on short notice, he went above and beyond to look for one all while making sure to keep me in the loop. If I had a question or concern, he was there to help. He was kind and patient, and I’m pretty sure he answered the same question that was rephrased a few times haha. All of this paired with his skillset and understanding of the industry made working with him feel like I had a partner who was just as invested in making the event a success as much as I was.
Crissy and her assistant were a treasure to have work the event and bartend, the energy and attention to detail was spot on. The birthday boy turned 90 and we had a very large group of people of all age ranges but there wasn’t a time that I didn’t look over at the bar and wasn’t impressed that Crissy was able to put a smile on anyone’s face. She takes bartending to another level by empathizing and understanding the people she is serving while also paying special attention to the person the event was for. She might honestly be Wonder woman because she was able to do it all!
If you have an event and are lucky enough to find Dr. Mix-A-Lot, make sure to jump on the opportunity to hire them because you won’t be disappointed! I know they’ll be the first name that comes to mind for my next event where I need a bartender.

Anton was our bartender for our 2022 Christmas party. He was very responsive, helpful when I needed to adjust our contract, and arrived on time. He was super fun and friendly and made some great drinks for our guests- I had made up a themed cocktail menu for our event with some special infused syrups and he executed my vision perfectly. I had never used Gigsalad before so I was hesitant to use the service but Anton has made me a believer! He was such a pleasure to work with. He was a great communicator before, during and after the event. He was able to create great drinks and came well prepared. His presentation of drink possibilities was excellent and it’s been three days since my event and I’m still getting compliments (and requests) for Anton. I’m hoping he’s available for my next event.

My husband and I booked two bartenders from the Dr. Mix-A-Lot team for our wedding and they did an amazing job! They were quick to make drinks so that guests didn't have to wait in line very long; the drinks tasted fantastic; and they were fun and friendly. He was great at responding to all of my emails and questions and showed up on time to our wedding and blew our guests away with his drinks and charismatic personality. A few friends came up to me during the wedding telling me how much they loved the bartenders. Would 100% hire them again.

What to Expect
The standard hourly rate is $45.00. Core services are provided up to 80 guests. The customer must provide alcohol, bar area, coolers, and waste basket. Mixers, fruits, garnishes, ice and bar table can be furnished by bartender at an additional charge upon request. I can also provide up to three additional bartenders to cover large events or if I am unavailable on the booked date.
Dr. Mix-A-Lot, LLC offers the following:
* A professionally dressed, friendly, and knowledgeable mixologist (up to 4)
* Full beverage service: wine, beer, alcohol, spirits and mocktails
* Additional 1.5 hours bar setup/breakdown/cleanup
* Professional mixing equipment (i.e., pourers, shakers, strainers, paring knife, wine key, etc.)
* Plastic cups
* Up to three additional, professionally trained bartenders

Get extra 15% off the hourly rate for allowing a tip jar. Additional discounts still apply. First-time customers get 25% off the first hour!
Add $2.50 per hour per 10 extra guests. Additional bartenders/servers can be provided for $120 each.
There is a $180.00 flat rate for parties lasting three hours or less (including setup/cleanup).

* Lack of supplies as specified in contract

If you are looking for a professional, friendly, and all around excellent bartender, look no further! I can't believe how lucky I got to find Anton for my wedding. He was able to work with my budget and bar specifications (we had a wine-only bar). He also went above and beyond by creating a syrup for a mulled wine ahead of time and bringing it to the venue. I really appreciated that he was easy to communicate with and very fast at responding to emails. I was able to discuss different ideas of what we would need and how much wine and other drinks to buy for the number of guests we were expecting. As for service at the wedding, Anton was excellent. He was 100% professional and I heard many nice comments from guests about how well organized everything was. I can't think of anything he could have done better!! Thanks very much Anton!

Raymond from Dr Mix-a-lot bartended my party this past Saturday. I had about 65 guests and Raymond did an outstanding job. I was so pleased by the number of guests who came up to me and told me what an amazing job he was doing. Everyone complimented me on the service and quality of drinks. He was absolulteyl competent and so very pleasant. I would definitely hire them again.

Working with Anton was awesome! He was polite, respectful and extremely helpful to me. I had never hired a bartender before and didn't know what to expect. I don't know if he got sick of hearing from me or not because it seemed like I always had questions for him. He was accessible, patient and calming. He provided a list of drinks per person, which was very helpful.

Additional Booking Notes
1. Payment Policy
1.1 Deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise indicated. Deposit due shall be the equivalent of first hour of service at the standard rate plus all additional services requested prior the date of the event. Purchaser(s) agrees to pay deposit due upon returning Of The Signed Agreement. Please send via PayPal.. Booking time slot is not confirmed until Receipt Of Deposit and Provider reserves the right to guarantee time slots only to those who have paid the full deposit.
1.2. Balance is payable to Provider by cash, check, money order, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), and PayPal at the engagement following services provided to the satisfaction of the customer. Purchaser(s) agrees to pay a 3% convenience fee for all credit card and Paypal transactions to cover additional expenses incurred by Provider for this option.
1.3. Any additional fees incurred during the planning of the event will be added as needed to this contract. Events exceeding 80 guests are charged $2.00 per hour per 10 extra guests in addition to base pay for core services. Events exceeding 120 guests will require a barback and are charged at a base rate of $15.00 per hour plus $5.00 per hour per10 guests for events exceeding 150 guests.
1.4. Any additional fees incurred during the event, such as overtime or additional supplies must be paid at the end of the event.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1. Cancellation of the engagement by the Purchaser(s) for any reason shall forfeit the deposit. Cancellation of the engagement by the Purchaser(s) within 24 hours of the date of the event shall also require payment of the balance to the Provider, unless the same act is re-booked by the Purchaser(s) for a mutually agreeable date within 120 days of the canceled date. Purchaser(s) canceling their engagement by telephone must also verify that cancellation in writing (via dated mail, email or Fax)
2.2. If the PROVIDER or the PURCHASER(S) must cancel the engagement due to extenuating circumstances (ie. Act of God, "Force Majeure", family emergency, sudden financial catastrophe), this contract shall become null and void, all deposit and balance payments shall be refunded, and both parties shall have no further legal recourse against each other. Provider retains the right to make the final decision in the matter.
3. Liquor License Requirements For Selected Venue
PURCHASER(S) agrees to undertake all expenses associated with acquiring alcohol service licenses as required by venue selected by the PURCHASER(S). PROVIDER shall apply for the appropriate license on behalf of PURCHASER(S) at the request of PURCHASER(S) only after payment to cover all license expenses has been made in full to PROVIDER. Full payment for license shall be made to PROVIDER not later than one week (7 days) prior to the due date of the license payment as specified by the issuing authority. Failure of PURCHASER(S) to make full payment to PROVIDER within the necessary time limitations to procure license shall result in forfeiture of the deposit regardless if PROVIDER is legally cleared to service the event or not. Failure of PROVIDER to procure license even after full payment has been made by PUCHASER(S) shall result in an immediate full refund to the regardless if PROVIDER is legally cleared to service the event or not.
4. Photo Release
Purchaser(s) agrees to grant Provider, its representatives and staff the right to take photographs of Purchaser(s) and people and property in connection with the Purchaser(s) at the event. Purchaser(s) authorizes Provider, its assignees and transferees to copyright, use, and publish the same in print or electronically. Purchaser(s) agrees that Provider may use such photographs with or without names and for any lawful purposes such as publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content.
5. Rider
5.1. All staff of Provider reserves the right to card guests and to refuse service at any event guest is deemed by staff to intoxicated or underage. Dr. Mix-A-Lot, LLC reserves the right to close bar service due to underage drinking (under 21), with no refund of money paid. As per DC Official Code **25-781, MD Code**10-114 and VA Code **4.1-304, all staff of Dr. Mix-A-Lot, LLC reserves the right to discontinue service to anyone we judge to be visibly intoxicated.
5.2. Serving alcohol at your event contains certain inherent risks to your guests’ behaviors resulting from diminished inhibitions. Provider shall not be held liable for property damage, injury, or death that could be construed as a result of consuming alcohol at this event.
6.1 Gratuities
Unless otherwise noted, all gratuities and service fees have been included in the total fee. Additional tips for excellent service are always welcome! They are by no means expected or required.
6.2 Professional Service Guarantee
Dr. Mix-A-Lot, LLC will waive all fees and charges except the deposit regardless the length of the party if any of the following occurs:
• Not Dressed to code (Clean shirt, vest, bowtie, tuxedo pants)
• Missing tools that affects service
• Arriving more than 30 minutes late (except extenuating circumstances, in which case guest will be notified)
• Lack of supplies as specified in contract
• Setup/clean up not to satisfaction of guest
• Two or more customer complaints
