Dr. Roundhouse is currently recording a new EP in Columbia, SC’s Woodshed with Patrick Chapman. The new tunes should be released to the public by the end of 2013. Never resting, Roundhouse is already in the pre-production stages of their first full-length studio album with plans to begin recording by winter. Frontmen, Jon Coxe and Russell Goodman, are providing new material at an exciting rate, ensuring that there will be plenty of new Dr. Roundhouse tunes for fans to enjoy for the coming year.
Dr. Roundhouse started as an acoustic duo of singer songwriters, Jon Coxe and Russell Goodman, dubbed DNR. DNR played the SC music scene for years before adding long time friend, Nate Poston, on the bass guitar. The addition of bottom led the group to drummer, Nicholas McGill . With a rhythm section now in the mix, Dr. Roundhouse was born from the ashes of DNR. The band has perfected a collaborative approach to song writing over the last couple of years that has rounded out their overall sound, which fans refer to as Medical Grade Rock’N’Roll.
Dr. Roundhouse has recently played with such national acts as Consider The Source and The Mike Dillon Band to name a couple. They have become a staple of the Woodshed Music Archive in Columbia, SC, providing fans from other parts of the country the opportunity to tune in to the live stream of a couple of Dr. Roundhouse concerts every year.

“An Alt-country-ish outfit blasting through energetic roots-rock, with an emphasis on the rock. Big melodies and the splash of acoustic and electric guitars against each other never get old, and these guys are out to prove it. A rock ‘n’ roll experience.” K. Peterson - FreeTimes
