Hi, I’m Michael "Dr. Woody" Woodward, PhD—Organizational psychologist, executive coach, & author of top selling job book The You Plan. Michael “Dr. Woody” Woodward, PhD is a CEC certified professional coach trained in the field of organizational psychology. As a consultant and professional coach, Dr. Woody works with both private and corporate clients on career development, building management/leadership capacity, and developing high performing teams. As an author and speaker, Dr. Woody focuses on the psychology of effective management and career engagement in the New Economy. He also focuses on how to make the transition from “player” to “coach” in the business world.
Dr. Woody published his first book "The YOU Plan: A 5-step Guide to Taking Charge of Your Career in the New Economy" and he also writes a regular column for (link hidden) called "The Career Hot Seat".
Dr. Woody is the founder and president of Miami-based consulting firm Human Capital Integrated (HCI). The firm focuses on management and leadership development. Dr. Woody has worked with such clients as Bacarid USA and SAP. Dr. Woody is also a faculty instructor and sits on the Academic Advisory Board for the Florida International University Center for Leadership where he works with senior executives on leadership and decision making.
Prior to founding the consulting firm HCI in 2005, Dr. Woody served as a management and human resources consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PwC) and as a project manager for IBM Business Consulting Services in Washington DC. During this time Dr. Woody worked with such clients as:

From 2007 to 2009 Dr. Woody wrote a regular column for Go Jobing magazine on issues around hiring and coaching. Dr. Woody has also published award wining research on teamwork titled Cooperation and Competition: The Effects of Team Entrainment and Reward Structure (Woodward et al, 2005).
Education
Dr. Woody received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Miami, a Master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Springfield College, and a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from Florida International University (FIU).
