What to expect from a drumming session with DrummaSphere LLC? Tons of fun, high energy, loud voices, loud drumming and bodies moving to rhythms that we will create together.

Upon arrival, unloading of all of the different types of percussion that we'll explore takes place: a variety of drums, buckets, drumsticks, tambourines, shakers, and noisemakers. Participants will be seated in a circle with an instrument of their choosing. Ms. Serita will lead them in simple rhythm patterns that are, first, vocalised, then, executed onto their instrument. As participants become more confident, rhythms become a little more complex, but still lots of fun! Sprinkled throughout our session, there will be rhythmic games that we'll play. As we get closer to the end of our session, participants will have the opportunity to "jam out" - this is when everyone plays what they want but TOGETHER!

What to expect from a movement session with DrummaSphere LLC? See above!

A movement session with DrummaSphere includes almost all of the same ingredients as a drumming session minus the percussion. Participants will be led by Ms. Serita in a variety of movement routines performed to a variety of musical styles. Although most of these routines are high energy, participants are encouraged to take their time and "put their sauce on it" - have confidence and intent with their movements. Every movement session ends with a "cypher" or dance circle where participants (at their own choosing) can perform their solos! There's no such thing as "getting it wrong" or having two left feet at DrummaSphere LLC! There's always having a good time and feeling good!

DrummaSphere LLC was birthed by Serita Ibarra-Leonard in 2023. Serita is a performer, through and through: she has been a dancer and drummer with Bichini Bia Congo Dance Theater Company since 1999, a Zumba® Fitness Instructor, a bucket drumming teacher, and a creative movement instructor! She enjoys making people of all ages move with a smile!
Known for her high energy, interactive performances and encouraging persona, Serita shares DrummaSphere LLC with the world to help them "feel alive" through the use of percussion, movement, and positive affirmations. She'll lead audiences with fun, affirming call-and-response chants, rhythms and creative movements that will have everyone participating! Whether they are making beats on a bucket drum, shaking a shaker, or shaking their bodies, your audience will be energized and rejuvenated by a session with DrummaSphere LLC!

*enough light to see faces!
*microphone (handheld or headset) for audiences 30+
*upright seating for drumming
