In addition to being a public speaker and panel guest, I'm a facilitator of multiple different group experiences including improvisation/design thinking workshops, connection and support circles, Laughter Yoga, and more. I can speak on the topics of Connection, Play, Creativity, Change, Transformation, and Men's Work.

Dustin Morby a Smash at Kechi Playhouse!
Dustin is funny - there’s no doubt about it, but he proved to be more than that the night he saved the show in Kechi, Kansas. We were doing a comedy called Clothes Encounters by Roger Karshner and Dustin was playing Heinz, the handyman. An hour and 50 minutes before curtain one night, I got a call that the lead would not be able to do the show. I panicked, we have never cancelled a show in 32 years because of a missing performer, but I couldn’t see how we would be able to pull off a performance on such short notice. Then I just decided we had to try, even if it was a disaster, the show must still go on.
I played out several possibilities in my mind and finally decided that the best solution was to move Dustin into the lead and fill his role with another actor. The end result surprised everyone. Dustin knew 3/4 of the lines just from hearing them in rehearsal and performance. The rest he filled in from prompts from the other actors. Dustin is sharp as a tack. He gets his lines, he steps in when needed, he puts in the time necessary and He Is Funny. A delight to work with, I am still grateful to Dustin for the night he saved our show!

We hired the Foolish Toms for our firm’s holiday party on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Entertaining a group of attorneys can be quite challenging so you can imagine our skepticism ran quite high. The Foolish Toms left that skepticism in the dust when in less than 10 minutes laughter was heard and as the show progressed the laugher got louder and louder. They interacted well with the audience and there was never a dull moment. The entire group LOVED these guys and those who were unable to attend were green with envy. Requests are already being made for us to hire them again next year. Thank you Foolish Toms for making our party so successful!

My wife and I hired Dustin to be our wedding officiant in 2012. We had an idea of the type of ceremony and message that we wanted presented at our wedding. Dustin did an amazing job listening to what we wanted, taking that information and then turning it into a sermon. We were very pleased with Dustin's professionalism and the manner in which he worked with us to make sure that our desires were met and the message delivered was personalized for us. It was also nice to have Dustin's sense of humor and easy going nature present for an event that can become stressful. Overall we were extremely pleased with Dustin as our wedding officiant and would highly recommend him.

Dustin is- in all possible ways- the ideal kind of actor. As an ensemble member, professional, and mentor for our youth he was always positive in rehearsal while still being prepared and professional. As a vocalist he has an instrument that is a force to be reckoned with. As an actor, he is hilarious but also has the ability to do dramatic material. Most importantly for our company was how fun e is to work with and what a wonderful example he is for the kids. We have already verbally signed him on for our next show and are thrilled to be woking with him again.

They got a pretty mellow crowd laughing in their chairs, and successfully enlisted the help of typically unwilling people. They were a hoot! Every day I hear more comments about our Christmas party entertainment! I know of at least two attendees that requested a business card for future events. We would have them back in a heartbeat!

My husband and I hired Dustin to officiate our wedding on May 05, 2012. We couldn’t have asked for a better Officiant. My husband and I weren’t exactly clear on what we wanted to have in our ceremony. Dustin wrote the perfect ceremony with very little direction. It had a little comedy, a scripture and a few prayers. Dustin was flexible when we changed the location of the ceremony the day before the wedding. It was perfect and exactly what we had asked for. Dustin was also kind enough to emcee the reception when the DJ’s microphone wouldn’t work. Dustin announced exactly what and how we asked for him to. Dustin helped make our day more perfect than we could have asked for. Dustin went above and beyond and got to know our families personally too. I’ve gotten several great responses from the guests at our wedding also. I would HIGHLY recommend Dustin for any event.

The Foolish Toms appeared at the Magouirk Conference Center in Dodge City, Ks for our first Comedy Show. We served dinner and a show, or should I say dinner and the hilarious Foolish Toms. The citizens were impressed! Everyone had a terrific time and can't say that they didn't go away without a good laugh! They are going to be a very hard act to follow. Once you've had the best.....well you know. Thanks Foolish Toms for an evening to remember! You left them wanting more.

Comedy Improv Show
The Foolish Toms were the opening session entertainment. From the moment they were introduced, the Toms had the full attention of the high school students. Audience participation is essential to the Toms' form of improv and they know how to command it. The duo captured the students attention and challenged their creativity immediately. A terrific start to the convention.
Ninety minutes later the Foolish Toms led a workshop/mixer. Utilizing the formats they'd established in the opening session, the Toms once again had the students fully engaged. Dividing into smaller groups, students introduced themselves to each other, and then played improv "games," that had been modeled by the duo. The best opening night mixer we've had in years!

I recently hired the Foolish Toms to perform at my bar and grill. They were the best entertainment I have ever hired here. It's been a couple of months since the show they did and everyone who was at the show keeps asking when and if they are coming back. We hired the Foolish Toms for our campuses Family Day/Homecoming. They did an excel job emceeing our Lip Sync show and had an amazing Family Day evening show. The show was great. I haven't spoke with one person who didn't LOVE it! Adults, children, college students - EVERYONE loved it! Our programming board has already began talking about how we could use the Foolish Toms ins the future. I would highly reccomend the Toms for any show. They tailor their event to your needs. IT WAS GREAT!

About
Howdy, I’m Dustin, I have a varied background, including 12 years as an actor/comedian and a decade of owning or managing businesses. I spent the majority of my life with many undiagnosed health issues and had developed a very unhealthy lifestyle. That eventually added up to 340 lbs of unstable energy and me being completely disconnected from my body, mind, and soul. In 2016 a stranger walked into my bar and alerted me to a skin condition I had. I stopped consuming gluten and caffiene that week, dropped 60lbs in three months, quit my job, learned about shadow work and how impactful trauma is on your daily life, traveled in a van and a back pack, learned to “do the work”, sat intentionally with entheogenic plants, and eventually landed in the rocky mountains half the human (-170lbs) and twice the man. I’ve been healing myself for the last 7 years and in 2020 I started my practice to help others along their journey. In addition, I am a lead mentor and the Chief Heart Officer for Sonz Youth. 2024 is the launch of my new program, Masculine Magic: A Pathway of Self Cultivation.
I grew up in the Bible Belt in an era when the first Harry Potter book was being pulled from shelves and warnings were being given from the church pulpits and newspapers about its corruptive nature. I was always told magic was evil, a gateway to the devil, and something that should be avoided at all costs. I still found the magic though in stories of young boys who survived the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash (Hatchet) or who left their family to live on the slopes of a mountain on once forgotten ancestral land (My Side of the Mountain). How did they manage to survive? Intuition and connecting to nature…aka two parts of magic. This was enough for me, and the magic stayed, hidden within. When I first began to free myself of the oppressive influence of others limiting beliefs, the magic was there waiting for me, like an old friend that’s ready to play the game you left off in the middle of.
I define magic as the ability to influence and be influenced by the subtle world around you. Did that bird make you think about a loved one and smile? Magic. Did your friend get you the gift you’ve been putting off getting but really want? Magic. Were all the lights green on the way to work? Did you sense something was going to happen and it did? Did your crush call you just as you were thinking about them? It’s all magic! Magic is important to me because it helps me understand and connect to the world, myself, and those around me in ways that I could never without. Plus, I think it’s more fun living a magical life, and I think all it takes is a little awareness and consistent intentional action and the magic flourishes!
One reason I’m a mentor is, I grew up without my father. He died when I was 3 and in the years following I endured enough trauma to score a 7 out of 10 on the Ace Trauma score. This is high, but because I had a few wonderful mentors, a strong handful of supportive teachers, a loving mother, and many people who were invested in my well being, I also have a very high Resiliency Score. The reason I have had success, in spite of my traumas, is in large part due to those people. I’m so grateful for them and now do this work as a way of honoring their impact on my life.
Since 2005, when I was cast in my first play as The Beast in a production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, I have had a passion for entertaining, events, working crowds, creative projects, and putting on a show. In addition to working in theatre/comedy, I have been working as a Creative Consultant since 2011. I've helped create everything from television commercials and Kick Starter campaigns to new restaurant menus and edgy B2B sales concepts. As an Improv Comedian, I was active for over 10 years in a high pressure field which continually honed my skills in Public Speaking, Idea Generation, and True Team Collaboration; this also helped me to think quick on my feet in a wide variety of settings.
An incomplete list of random things about me: I am a multipotentialite, enthusiastic amateur, and forever student. I performed up to 8 times a week for over a decade in front of audiences ranging 3-3000. I graduated from Improv Olympics Chicago, being honored with a spot on a Harold team. I attended Native Roots Herbalism School studying Ancestral Folk Healing and Herbal Medicine. I’m a Certified Dowser, a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, and an Ordained Minister. I’ve been taught or self taught and work with over 150 modalities, and I incorporated them all into one system called Intentionalism. I once lost 170lbs. I spent 6 years living a nomadic lifestyle and now gratefully live in a beautiful home surrounded by gardens in Santa Fe, NM.
