Earl Middleton is an author, speaker, and inner healing specialist for people who have had difficulty with a parental relationship, helping them to overcome parental rejection, heal their soul damage, and break through their inner ceiling to greater success by leading them through the 5 GRACE Steps™, his unique, proven, biblical method to soul repair that he shares in his most recent book, Overcoming Parental Rejection And Hurts. Earl was rejected by his own parents and, despite Mensa membership and a Princeton graduate degree, underachieved in every area of life. Thanks to the Five G.R.A.C.E. Steps™ he is now a successful, committed husband and father of three high achieving children.

Earl Middleton is the founding director of (link hidden), a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people overcome parental rejection. Earl was rejected by his parents and underachieved in life until he discovered and began to apply the Five G.R.A.C.E. Steps™ he now shares with a growing audience through his O.P.R.A.H. (Overcoming Parental Rejection And Hurts) workshops and seminars, and his most recent publications, Rain is a Preject (2009), and Overcoming Parental Rejection And Hurts: How to Heal Your Broken Soul & Live a Turnaround Life (2010). A former pastor, stand-up comedian, and basketball coach, Earl earned his graduate degree in theology from Princeton, and is a member of Mensa.
An estimated 100 million Americans feel significant, memorable rejection from a parent by the time they reach age 21. These feelings of rejection, which many take to the grave, often create an inner deficit that affects multiple areas of a person’s life into adulthood, forming the constellation of behaviors and personality traits labeled preject syndrome (hostility, dependency, low self-esteem, emotional instability, emotional unresponsiveness, and a negative worldview), which has been shown by research to adversely affect performance in school and society, leading to unfavorable outcomes in every major area of life and wreaking particular havoc on:
Achievement
Career satisfaction levels
Marriage & family relationships
Parenting practices and outcomes
The ability to fully connect with others on a meaningful level
The purpose of the O.P.R.A.H. workshop is to introduce educators, caregivers, parents, and parental rejects (prejects) to the attitudes, principles, beliefs, and skills needed to overcome the limiting effects of parental rejection in themselves and their children/students, and to empower them to enjoy a life full of acceptance, achievement, and love.
Earl's O.P.R.A.H. workshop introduces to both Christians and pre-Christians the skills of active grieving, release-forgiveness, substitute parental adoption acceptance, comfort-giving, family establishment, and household forecasting, exposes workshop participants to parental rejection pathologies, the signs of parental rejection, and the use of the preject assessment tool, and offers a cursory treatment of the erroneous attitudes that loving parents can’t reject their children, that getting over rejection just requires a strong mind and determination, and that people affected by rejection are just too sensitive.
By the end of Earl's O.P.R.A.H. workshops participants are able to…
Identify the level of prejection and brokenness in themselves and/or their children/students using the preject self-assessment, thus empowering themselves and others to take informed spiritual action.
List the signs and pathologies of prejection.
Identify the Five G.R.A.C.E. Steps™ to overcoming prejection.
Direct prejects to a resource that can help turn their lives around from disconnection and underachievement to maintaining a lifestyle of wholeness and effectiveness.
Pursue further training in order to become skilled facilitators in helping others to overcome prejection.
A training engagement with Earl will be a transformational encounter for your audience.
