Edgewater Live was formed in 2011 with a desire to bring accessible, danceable, good-time music from many genres to venues and private parties throughout the Denver Metro area, I-70 corridor and beyond.
Made up of long time veterans of the Denver music scene and led by vocalist James Elias, Edgewater Live seeks to meet the needs of our clients by tailoring our extensive, varied playlist to fit the occasion perfectly. With a two-guitar attack and a grooving rhythm section, Edgewater Live engages the crowd to sing and dance along to familiar hit songs from the past and present.

James Elias - Lead Vocals. James started leading bands in the mid 1980s in the emerging punk rock scene. Later, while working at the legendary Little Bear in Evergreen, CO, he got to see artists like The Kinsey Report, Dave Mason, Buddy Guy, and Wayne Toups perform live in a small setting. In the 1990s, James fronted Furious George and the Monster Groove, an 8-piece ska-funk powerhouse that was a regular in the front range music scene. He followed that up with Bad Rufus and The Ambassadors of Soul. Taking a break from touring bands, James fronted local bands The Pop Tarts and Band Gone Wild before starting up Edgewater Live.
Peter Provost - Bass & backing vocals. Computer engineer, hacker, gamer, musician and family man are all ways to describe Peter. He picked up his first guitar as a kid, and over the years taught himself banjo, ukulele, piano and bass guitar. Peter played guitar and keyboards in Denver bands Savvy Backbone and Harrison before taking a break from the music scene. Returning as the bass player for Edgewater live, his musical tastes cover everything from metal to reggae to hippie folk and classic rock.
John Gonzales - Lead Guitar & backing vocals. John has been playing in Denver for the last 20 years in multiple original bands including various music productions. As a self-taught multi-instrumentalist he enjoys many styles of music. The opportunity to play a variety of cover songs with the rest of Edgewater Live provided him with the challenge of learning more about music and having fun playing live.
DeWayne Even - Rhythm Guitar & backing vocals. A music educator, DeWayne played the trumpet through college and beyond, touring and performing extensively with a variety of world-class ensembles. He played trumpet in Savvy Backbone and The Redemptions before taking on the electric guitar. DeWayne loves music of all kinds, especially live music.
Brad Taylor - Drums. Brad has provided his self-taught drum flair to many bands throughout Denver over the past 25 yrs, with the ability to mold into any genre - rock, alternative, country, blues, soul or reggae. He has played relentlessly throughout the Denver music scene in original bands such as The Flipside, Crash Heroes, BLVD, and Boat Car, not only as drummer but also percussionist, singer and songwriter; while also serving as a session drummer for many local artists. Brad’s influences, as well as his musical tastes cover the entire musical gamut from big band to metal, classic rock to bluegrass. As a family man and business professional, Edgewater Live has provided Brad the opportunity to once again find comfort in what he loves: Brad don’t wanna work, he just wanna bang on his drum all day.
Edgewater Live does not have any standing, non-negotiable riders. All specifics can be discussed upon hire.
Staging: enough room for 5-man band (approximately 15'x15' minimum). Although EWL has performed in much smaller areas - we can adapt.
