I began doing my Tribute show to Elvis Presley in 2001. I was ask to do a all day show by the Childrens Miricle Network to raise money,It went great, Many of the audience accused and through verbal slurrs about the first 3 or 4 songs accussing me of lip syncing to Elvis cds I was being booed and heckled extremely bad, finally I had to address it so I started asking them what I had to do to prove that the vocals were my voice and not an Elvis cd, you could of heard a pin drop on the lawn, for while I was talking the music was stll playing, I then finished the song, I had gotten their attention, not one left and I new that this was what I wanted to do in my retired yrs.
Having experienced Elvis long before the he left this world, I was able to see in person how Elvis influenced the audience and those around him with his charisma and songs.
I am in the planning stages of taking my Elvis tribute show to Germany, Japan and England, in the near future, I was ask to be part of the Ledgends in Concert show in Las Vegas after my Mid America Tribute Artist of the year win, but turned it down for health reasons which have all been taken care of.
I have also performed for many local support groups in Illinois, Tennessee,Kentucky, Indiana,Nebraska, and Missouri to include the Special Olympics Association,The Childrens Network, Breast Cancer Foundation bringing awareness to the cause and also Privite benefits for those in need. I have volunteered for hospice-type situations, helping to make a person's life a little more comfortable. It has been proved music is the best medicine for a person's soul and Edward proves this each year through his work in the nursing and rehab facilities located throughout Mid State areas. Assisting residents at Memory Centers remember how great life was during the Elvis years.
When asked how and why I started doing my Elvis Tribute I tell that it all start by a lady hearing me singing in my car in the parking lot of a Walmart and her asking if I did shows which I was embarresed and told her no and she gave me her card which she was one of The Childrens Network executives and said if I ever did they could use me,three days later I was ask by the local Moose and VFW if I would Do benefit show to raise money for a local lady with brain cancer so I new this was my calling went forward with my shows for both and haven't looked back. And I Plan on continuing to do so.
My name is Edward Tillman and I am the Mid America Tribute Artist of the yr for 2006 and 2007, runner up for the International Tribute Artist of the yr 2006, And 2nd place winner of Elvis ETA Fest Springfield Ma. 2005.
I am the 8th great grandson of Thomas and Jane (King) Warren, you ask why should this matter well if you know the ancestors of Elvis Presley then you would know that he is also the 7th great grandson of Thomas and Jane (King) Warren, Minnie's mother was Mary L. Warren Hood, making him and I 8th cousins,
So I do a tribute show in his honor, no I do not impersonate him but do pay him a heart felt tribute as I still remember when we were called the day he past and to this day I am still saddened and have an (link hidden)though I do the 1970's shows I try to add songs from all stages of his career. Sincerely Edward

Of course my cousin was a great influence, he and uncle Vester (Vesser as I called him was actual a cousin but since every one called him uncle so did I) removed one of my cast with a small swiss army knife in the winter of 1965 as it was a cold and as I remember snow/icy one but as a kid I never saw him as the King ya know.
After Cilla moved in we kinda just stopped going to visit,, Also my dad worked several yrs for George Jones during the 70's so he and Faron Young would befriend me when I went on the bus.
Then in 1992 I went on tour singing backup for the "No Hats Tour" (Travis Tritt,Marty Stuart, sometimes Aaron Tippin and Dottie, and Hank jr) so I guess I am a ROCKABILLY Artist.....ALSO
