Leadership and Success Sessions/Workshops through ELA Education Services, LLC are used to:
1. EMPOWER people to realize their full potential, by assessing themselves, in order to effectively contribute to US society.
2. ENCOURAGE people to reach for their goals while also being inclusive of various backgrounds.
3. EQUIP people with tools for social justice advocacy and with understanding critical steps for integrating those tools within their daily lives.
Diversity and Inclusion Sessions/Workshops through ELA Education Services, LLC are used to:
1. Assist people with understanding their personal and social identities and how those identities affect their walk through life.
2. Move people from conversations about "diversity is important" to conversations that deal with power, privilege, and systemic oppression.
3. Assist people with an ACTION PLAN to create social change.
4. Assist people with implementing aspects of diversity and inclusion into their daily activities.
Dr. Allen Moore is a Certified Family Life Educator and a Certified Life Coach. She has 10+ years of experience in Higher Education and leadership development. She has worked in various areas on college campuses such as New Student Orientation, academic advising, and multicultural affairs. She uses this knowledge to work with young adults on leadership development, social justice understanding, and setting goals for their future. She is originally from Arkadelphia, a small town in Arkansas. Her passion for student affairs and social justice is evident in her research agenda and community activities. She has a research agenda that focuses on the experiences of Students of Color in Higher Education and social justice education. Her research can be found in Higher Education journals such as the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education, Equity and Excellence in Education, and NASPA Journal about Women in Higher Education.
As the owner and CEO of ELA Diversity Education Services, LLC, she looks forward to working with you to help you reach new heights on your social justice journey. She started this work because she truly believes that understanding others has a huge impact on healthy relationships and an effective society that values all backgrounds. She believes that empowerment and social justice education opens a world of opportunities for individuals, and she is passionate about helping people engage in critical conversations that will leave them empowered and better able to affect change in society.
