Elegance Music

ELEGANCE MUSIC is a One Man Band musical act that performs a genre much needed in Southern California, but seldom heard- soft, elegant, tasteful music, sometimes jazzy, sometimes swaying with the tropical sounds of Samba or Bossa Nova.

This is perfect music for intimate settings such as private parties, dinners, and other venues requiring soft background music that is always tasteful and never harsh. Elegance Music provides the sound of a full band, even though I perform as a solo instrumentalist playing flute and clarinet.

ELEGANCE MUSIC as a Duo (with a vocalist) is a musical act that also plays jazz, standards and Latin flavored songs with the added dimension and interest of a vocalist.

This music is perfect for any event that would be enhanced by soft background music with vocals, or a more high energy interactive performance experience.

DOUG BRUNELLE is a classically-trained professional musician with more than 35 years as a multi-instrumentalist performer, playing clarinet, flute, and bass guitar in a variety of musical genres. He has played in numerous musical groups, from school orchestras to professional bands, to small jazz and rock combos, big bands, and wind ensembles.

He is conversant with a large variety of classical repertoire, as well as country, bluegrass, jazz and various jazz fusion styles; his 22-year career in the Army Bands included performances in all these styles of music.

CARLA VAN BLAKE - BIZZETT is a Singer, Songwriter, Graphic Artist and Designer who has been singing professionally since 1993. In 1994 her first original single, "Skinny Women Can't Sing The Blues", aired on local radio in Sacramento, CA. In June of that same year Carla was the featured artist in "Jazz Now" Magazine.

A flexible singer, she can render a smooth jazz ballad as easily as a funky dance tune or a heart felt gospel song. Carla has produced three collections of original music and is currently working on her new CD release for 2012.
