Add a touch of elegance and artistic interest to your event with guest sketches or an oil painting!
My name is Jessica, and I’m an award winning trained artist who graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and also studied at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy!
My specialty is drawing quick, realistic pencil sketches of party guests. I do both elegant formal events like weddings and corporate parties!
I also have an option for a finished oil painting begun at the event.
My setup is simple, I bring everything I need! Guests get to keep their portrait!
I love chatting and interacting with party guests and my portraits are always flattering!
Jessica was amazing! Everyone was raving about her and so interested in getting their sketches done at our wedding. Highly recommend. 10/10.
Thanks for making our wedding so special! We love our sketch. She was quick and people were talking about the great experiences they had chatting with her. I love the uniqueness that Jessica brought to our wedding day. 🤍🤍🤍
Response from Elegant Philadelphia Party Sketches:
Thank you so much Kimberly! I loved working at your wedding!!
We booked Jessica to be a sketch artist for our wedding and she did guest sketches during cocktail hour and the reception. Jessica did a phenomenal job, and our guests loved having artwork of them as a fun keepsake from our day! It was such a fun and special way to make the event more unique, and Jessica was a pleasure to work with the entire time. I’d 100% recommend her if you are looking for a unique way to step up an event.
We truly enjoyed having Jessica as part of our wedding day. She was a pleasure to work with and really added a special element to our wedding. So happy we found her!
Jessica was wonderful at my Dad’s party. Everyone loves the sketches! You can tell she takes pride in what she does. Don’t hesitate to book her as I definitely will again!

It is a privilege and responsibility to be able to capture your special day! Here you’ll find some details on the process.
The process begins by a phone, skype or in person consultation at my studio space in Philadelphia, to discuss what you’re looking for in terms of style, detail and what the setup for the event will be like.
I work with companies to create a corporate themed painting, brides to create a loving portrait of the couple, and parties to create an image specific to the theme.
I also do live, 15 minute sketches for parties! I come with my entire setup and engage with attendees the entire time.
The other things for you to think about is what part of the day you would like me to capture. I can really do anything you like–if you have a photo you’d like me to paint from (such as from engagement, or photo we take beforehand) that works great as well!
Whatever moment you choose for me to capture, I would need a 5 foot by 7 foot space to set up my easel and small table in order to see it with a good view (although I strive to work quietly and out of the way) and access to an outlet to plug in my lamp (as receptions can be dim sometimes, and I want to be able to make sure your painting really looks great!)
By the end of the evening, the painting is displayed for all to see so that guests can admire it. Throughout the process, I am friendly and engaging to guests and strive to create a pleasant, quiet entertainment as I continue working on the painting.
Hi! My name is Jessica, and I am the artist behind Paintings of Love. I have studied in Florence, Italy and graduated with my Master’s Degree in Fine Art from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. I have been painting and exhibiting professionally since 2014. I enjoy hiking, vintage fashion, and traveling to Europe (Paris is my favorite!) I love capturing the emotion of people, and creating a magical environment for them in my paintings. I strive to create a treasure for you to enjoy for generations to come. I am obsessed with painting! Ever since I can remember, I have loved creating art, and I can’t think of a better way to use my passion than to capture people’s most meaningful moments.
I require a 5x 7 foot working space.

My aesthetic is influenced by the Rococo and Pre-Raphaelite periods of art history, as well as theater, set design, high fashion culture. The feminine figure is central in carrying the piece or telling a story, and her surroundings often mirror her state of mind. In all my work, I strive to create an enveloping world that is vivid, compelling and emotionally complex. I would like it if my viewers could step inside this world and fall in love, if only for a moment, with the moment portrayed. It is this portrayal of strength and potential, this perfect moment of inspiration within an imperfect world, that I aim to capture in my work.
I bring: easel, painting supplies, table and chair. You bring: a 5 by 7 foot space for me to work, and lighting to see by.
