Eli performs American Blues in its original form: singing and playing an acoustic guitar. Much like the blues masters who took their music to the backwoods juke joint, he sometimes adds a ‘stomp box’ to do the work of a drum, and even taps and scrapes a tambourine with the heel of his boot to become, at times, a one-man band.
His repertoire includes great vintage tunes of every style, from Delta Slide, to Hill Country, and the lovely music-box Rags of cross-picked Piedmont Style. Add modern masters like Hendrix and Hooker, pepper with Eli’s own songs, and the audience has a full serving of the blues experience.
