I ordered and paid for a large white party bus for Halloween and had communicated with the driver/company hours before about the plan to pick us up at 9:30pm. At 9:30 Vishal, the driver, texted to say he was 10 minutes away. That was the last communication I got from him. At that point he stopped responding to texts and calls and blocked my phone number. I know this because we tried him from a different number and got a dial tone. An hour later my group sadly decided to order Ubers as we were late for our party. We go outside on our quiet street in Tribeca and there was the large white party bus we ordered. We were momentarily thrilled until we saw a group of 10-15 playboy bunnies inside the bus and directing it down the street.
My guess is either an earlier group paid the driver on the side to extend their trip and he decided to forego our paid for trip, or, a group saw our bus parked outside and commandeered it, then paid the driver to not pick us up.
Either way, how unprofessional and horrible to do that. Awful experience. The reason I added another star was initial communication with the company was great and I quickly got a refund.
