Ellen was by far the best part of my wedding. Not only was she easy to communicate with leading up to the event, she was also so sweet and accommodating when chatting about song choices and style. She immediately said she would get in contact with my dj to figure everything out so that I wouldn't have to do any additional work.
At the wedding, she was so professional yet incredibly down to earth and easy to work with. My family and friends who got a chance to speak to her said she was so kind and so easy going and was genuinely happy to be apart of our day.
The performance in general was more than I could have expected. She brought her classical violin to play during dinner which mesmerized my guests. I thought everybody would be eating and talking over her performance but everyone was staring at her and loving every second of it.
She also brought her electric violin to play with my dj during the dance part of the wedding which was amazing!!! At one point I even asked her to stand in the middle of the dance floor while we all danced and she was so excited and willing to do it. It was just amazing all around.
Lastly, she also played over our first dance song which I would highly recommend. She was amazing.
I obviously cannot say enough nice things about Ellen, her performance first and foremost, her willingness and ability to adapt to any situation (because we know weddings can be unpredictable), and just her kind and beautiful soul. I would highly highly recommend her for any event. I hit the jackpot when I found her through this site.

We decided to add a Violinist as last minute thought a couple month before our Wedding....and we are so happy we did. Ellen was amazing. Her wide range of song playing talent made her a huge favourite amongst all our guest. I booked Ellen to play at my mom's Celebration of Life in April 2022. Even though it was a time of remembering a mom and friend and was sad, my mom had been someone who was very upbeat and loved lively fiddle and pop music from her time. When I saw the many examples of songs that Ellen could play and heard the samples she had on her videos, it was an easy choice to hire this musician and I'm glad I did. Ellen is a very talented fiddler/violinist, and she has a great sense for the energy of the room to know what type of music to play. FAQ:
IS AMPLIFICATION REQUIRED FOR SOLO PERFORMANCES?
- For group sizes over 20, or for outdoor performance, amplification is required.
- Amplification is always required for the Electric violin.
CAN DEMO VIDEOS/RECORDINGS OF REQUESTS BE PROVIDED, PRIOR TO THE WEDDING/EVENT?
- Yes, the charge is $20 per demo recording.
WILL THE MUSICIAN ATTEND THE REHEARSAL? (Weddings)
- Usually it is not necessary to attend the rehearsal, as I will always arrive with plenty of time to set up and coordinate the logistics and any necessary cues with the various points-of-contact, on the day-of.
- If attending the rehearsal is a requirement, there will be a min. $300 fee, in addition to applicable travel fees.

Ellen Daly is an acclaimed, versatile, and decorated violinist / fiddler in Toronto. She has performed at countless luxury events, weddings, and venues - from small, intimate gatherings to large crowds exceeding 2500 guests. Some of the more popular venues and events in Toronto include: 1 Hotel, Casa Loma, Toronto Beach Club, Rebel, A Bridgerton Experience (The Queen's Ball), Taylor Swift Dance Party, and much more.
In recent years, whilst based out of the U.S., Ellen spent seven months playing at Raglan Road Irish Pub at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, performing six nights a week in Celtic and cover bands. She has also sat in with many bands while visiting Nashville, TN at venues such as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Rippy's, and The Blue Bar.
Ellen has traveled and participated in numerous fiddle competitions in Canada, the U.S. and Ireland, and has won prestigious awards. She was the Canadian Open Old Time Junior Fiddle Champion in 2011, she is a five-time Vankleek Hill Fiddle Champion, and she was the Under 16 Eastern North American Irish Fiddle Champion in 2008.
