The Magic of Em - New York City Magician

We hosted a 70th birthday party for 40 guests in our home ranging in age from 5-95 and every single one of was thoroughly amazed and entertained by Em. He was a pleasure to work with and even kept the kids busy long after his show was over. Can't wait to work with him again!

My wife and I booked Em for a party we hosted to celebrate my father-in-law's retirement. It was about 45 people of mixed ages (7- 88). Em amazed them all! Could not more strongly recommend. i have always been a fanatic when it comes to magic, and I always try to figure things out after I see a performance, either on my own or look it up online. We hired Em for our annual company holiday party. Most of my team was skeptical of his work but he knocked it out of the park. He worked the cocktail hour crowd with multiple tricks and illusions that kept everyone captivated. As everyone sat down for dinner, his performance brought smiles and applause throughout the room. We were looking for entertainment to have at our annual company 'Summer Fun Day'. After looking up a few options here on GigSalad we decided to book Em for the three hour event. I'm so glad we did because he was awesome! The event was held on a boat and despite some rocky seas, he was top notch. He took the time beforehand to find out the details about our event and came prepared with amazing magic and mind reading entertainment. It was great watching all the employees faces as he was able to bend a fork with his mind and guess their exact birth dates. I would HIGHLY recommend Em for any type of event and we will definitely book him again in the future!

I asked Emran to perform at a party for me. I was more than impressed by him. I was surprised. It was a diverse crowd that night composed of people of different ages, nationalities, and work backgrounds, but Emran captivated all of them. The crowd was blown away by what he was doing—people were literally shouting—and, above all, everyone was having a great time watching and participating in the performance.
The first thing you notice is his skill with his hands as he takes old school sleight-of-hand techniques and illusions and works them into a very modern performance. I would describe the experience as like watching an elite athlete perform like Michael Jordan or Roger Federer. He really is that good, no question. I talked to him about this, and he said that he studies the techniques of magicians of the past and those of the present, many of whom he knows personally. When you hear him talk, it really seems like he’s pushing both himself and his art form to be as fascinating and entertaining as possible.
Besides his amazing technical skill, though, what impressed me most was the natural charisma Emran had to captivate his audience. I know some of my friends are very smart and skeptical guys and girls. It made me laugh so hard when I watched their reactions to Emran’s illusions. They really wondered if something supernatural was going on. It’s hilarious to see that happen to people you know, believe me.
Lastly, I should mention the entertainment value of the show. When people think of magicians, a lot of us think of creepy guys who wrongly think they are impressing people with their cheesy tricks. Emran was not like that at all. He really is a very sociable and funny guy who definitely took the party up to the next level. A natural performer this guy. He was always dead-on convincing with his illusions, but his charm and personality really are what I think made his illusions and mentalism work so well. Lots of fun. I’m sure I will ask him to do a show again.

Em is an amazing performer! Multi talented and sweet. A great addition to any event.
