Community Futures Middlesex has had Emm Gryner as our keynote speaker not once but twice now for our sold-out International Women’s Day events. Each time Emm brought a different message that resonated with our mostly female audience. Emm takes the time to understand both the organization and audience for which she is performing. Her story telling is completely authentic and you almost feel like you’re sitting in her living room engaging in a conversation. Then, when she sits down at her keyboard and starts to sing, you are struck by the beauty of her voice and music, but also reminded why she is a Juno award nominated musician.
Having Emm participate in our events has been the perfect blend of inspirational talk and entertaining performance. We’ve had nothing but positive feedback from our audiences and would highly recommend other organizations to consider including her in their next event!
Emm joined our meeting to share with us some of her musical talents and a great conversation centering around perseverance in tumultuous times. Emm took the time to speak with the event organizer before hand to learn more about our industry as well as to ask what we are hoping to get from the discussion. She also attentatively listened in on the entire meeting so she could learn more about our industry. Emm and her team also went above and beyond to ensure that we had adequate sound and lighting for the evening and John was also a great addition to our night. Emm did a great job incorporating the attendees into the conversation and got the crowd singing as well. Many attendees said 'one of the best speakers ever'. It was a great experience and we can't wait to have Emm out again at future meetings.
Response from Emm Gryner:
Thank you, Emma! It was such a highlight to speak to your group!
Emm was just amazing. Her story, her presentation, her style, her charisma, everything was top notch. Would highly recommend her for an event!
Emm Gryner provided rich insights based on her experiences and upon reflection, her thoughts about how they impacted growth and next stages of her career. Her final message focused on 'passion'–what has brought you to this place and space and what continues to motivate you.
Response from Emm Gryner:
Thank you Betty Anne! It was such a pleasure to come and speak to your students!
We hired Emm to perform at SocialAtHome, which is a conference for digital marketers. She did a fantastic job, and had great understanding of her tech, which made booking her online a breeze! A great way of adding classy storytelling and music to your event.
With her fascinating storytelling and musical interludes, Emm took our attendees up to space with Chris Hadfield, to the Glastonbury festival with David Bowie, and back down to earth with her humility, vulnerability, and incredible talent. We loved how much time and effort Emm invested in getting to know our organization and event ahead of time, connecting her experience to our theme and tone. Emm was very responsive, approachable, and cared about meeting our needs, and she surpassed all expectations. Emm's presentation will live long in the memory of our attendees and organizing committee!
Emm spoke at our zoom conference and was fantastic! just what people needed to feel rejuvenated, appreciated and a great way to get away from the COVID funk we are all in! It was done virtually and she still managed to engage 145 attendees we only wish we could have done this in person.
Bravo Emm Bravo/11
United Way Perth-Huron is so grateful to have had Emm Gryner perform at our first-ever virtual Women United event filmed at Revival House in Stratford on November 6, 2020. Emm sang her rendition of Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" which was done beautifully while she played her grand piano. The virtual audience, along with volunteers on our organizing committee, have shared over the weekend just how much they have enjoyed her performance! It was a night meant to inspire women and connect us during COVID and having Emm share her gift of music was the perfect way to cap off the event! Thank you Emm for your kindness!
Response from Emm Gryner:
Thank you Helen for all you do for the community and for women! It was an honour to participate and share some music!
Emm spoke at our university orientation event. She was great to work with, and really accommodating of our quick timeline and requests. This was our first time running the event online and she included interactive ideas and humour to help it feel welcoming. We had a great experience working with Emm - thank you!
Response from Emm Gryner:
Thank you Katelyn! It was an honour to speak at the orientation for new teachers. Thanks for inviting me.
I'm a Gr. 4/5 teacher from a small school in Wyoming (Southwestern Ontario). Emm kindly agreed to meet with my students this morning, took time out of her schedule, and met us with a huge smile! Emm was more than patient with a LOT of student questions, answered all sincerely and graciously, played the piano and sang one of her songs to us - and even let us meet her pet, Izzy! The students loved her message of being true to yourself and accepting yourself as you are! She shared some of her experiences with various artists, her trip to the Philippines (great connection for one of my students who had recently been there) and her collaboration with Chris Hadfield on his song from space. I think it's safe to say that Emm has just acquired 20+ new young fans! :)
We had Emm join us for our company’s 1 year anniversary party. She was great! Really feel like we got to know her as she has a great way of connecting with the crowd. She delivers a great message in a fun and entertaining way. Would highly recommend her.
Response from Emm Gryner:
Thank you Rob. I was so happy to meet so many of your company's employees, from the USA and Canada. I'm so glad everyone came away entertained, they were a great audience and you and Todd were exceptional hosts as company leaders.
St. Marys is a small town with a very big heart. This year for Giving Tuesday we ended the day with Emm's presentation. She brought together a community of people that evening in a very different way. While she shared her story there was laughter, there was humming to a song and there were a few tears in the eyes of people that were very touched by something that she shared. In this world today we need to be able to sit with a group of people that we may or may not know and share a common bond and know that we belong. On that Monday evening in December Emm brought us all together and reminded us that we are so much Better Together!
Emm was the main attraction for St.Marys Giving Tuesday Community Event. She generously gave her time for a wonderful evening of stories, songs and inspiration from her remarkable musical life. I can’t personally thank her enough for being part of this incredible day. I would highly recommend Emm for a multi layer presentation that comes right from the heart.
Emm played the guitar, sang and shared her personal life journey with our group, from backup artist with Bowie, to life with young children in St Mary's. Her warm personality endeared her to the whole audience.
Emm hosted and moderated a panel as part of JUNO Week 2019 and was exceptional. She was extremely professional, well prepared and well researched. She posed thoughtful and engaging questions and kept the conversation flowing with ease while touching on her own experiences within the music and entertainment sectors. This was an annual event and was one of our best thanks to Emm's involvement. I highly recommend her for any speaking, hosting, and moderating opportunities.
Response from Emm Gryner:
Thank you Pina, it was an honour to speak to such accomplished record producers from Toronto, Los Angeles and beyond and see their experience and knowledge inspire the crowd of all ages. Your hospitality made for a great event, too!
Emm has been doing Lectures at our College for years. Her message never fails to motivate and enlighten the students and her story is one that needs to be shared. Every year I look forward to her returning and sharing her new adventures and experiences!
Response from Emm Gryner:
Thank you! It was such a pleasure and so energizing to speak to the students! Thanks for having me in!
