Overview
Hi! Emsy here. I'm a multi-instrumentalist in the Dallas area, and can provide for a variety of events. Hotel parlors, corporate meetings, wedding ceremonies or cocktail hours? I am willing and able. Style wise, I focus on the groovy side of Top 40, but I do it all: George Benson, Daft Punk, U2, Chris Stapleton, Prince..etc.
I can provide instrumental guitar, or a combination of guitar, bass, or piano. My setup includes a loop station and backing tracks for full and intimate layers of sound. Although I don't sing, I can provide commentary for the crowd, and could work as a speaker/narrator of sorts if need be. I'm also available as a hired gun/sideman.

Emsy did an absolutely amazing job at our Cinco de Mayo party. Our guests truly enjoyed his Spanish guitar techniques with intermixing both Spanish and American songs. We look forward to having him play again. Thanks Emsy!

About
Emsy Robinson Jr is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, educator, and composer in the Dallas area.
His formal education started with the Music Learning Band program at Tyler Street Christian Academy, private lessons with jazz guitarist Chuck Pangburn, and music composition as an undergrad at UNT.
A gigging musician, Emsy has played with nearly 40 bands and opened for national acts such as RZA, The Toadies, Robert Cray, Ludacris, Chicano Batman, Macy Gray, Turnpike Troubadours, and Funkadelic..to name a few. In addition to live shows, he also records and writes commercial music; some if it has been placed in the Lionsgate film "Two Minutes of Fame" starring Jay Pharoah and Keke Palmer.
As an educator, he was worked with Thriving Minds since 2010. His focus is music composition, music and motion activities, and instruction on piano, guitar, percussion, bass and ukulele. He has also taught with the School of Rock, Lake Highlands School of Music,Swan Strings, and La Rondalla.
He's available for solo gigs of all varieties. Let's work!
