ABOUT US

Radical-Wave was founded in July of 2021, in a post 2020 Covid world. This diverse band is comprised of talented, long-time area musicians & performers, some with national exposure.

We're playing some fav songs from the 80's, 90's, some 00's and a few new ones, which are songs everyone loves, and loves to sing along and dance to! For some, these songs never left our minds, for some of the younger generations, these are new, yet, still familiar, having been featured in countless movies, video games, and more!

Come to the shows, and immerse yourself in the most fun feeling of nostalgia, youthful energy, and experiencing this music, like you remember, or always wanted to feel it

This music is coming back into global popularity, and Radical-Wave is bringing it to you, exactly how you love it, live and full of fun energy!

After our concerts you'll be a bit tired from dancing so much. Yet fully energized, and woth a giant smile on your face! We love music, friends old & brand new, and bringing everyone together, for moments to feel, and memories to last!

MEET YOUR BAND

-KENN PARKS
Lead Singer, some Keyboards, some Guitar

Kenn is an energetic Singer-Songwriter, Actor, Visual Artist, Writer, Spoken-Word Performer, Chef, Motivational & Compassionate Business Speaker, and Philanthropist, residing in Louisville Kentucky, with his awesome sons!

His artwork has sold over 800 pieces, residing in 33 states and 11 countries. In 2008 Kenn was asked to be a speaker at the Ideafestival, and then again, in the 2009 IDF! He was also a featured artist at the 2009 Forecastle Festival, where the music exposure started calling out to him once again. Kenn has been on the Food Network, The Today Show, a Superbowl Commercial, and more.

In 2009 Kenn met some people from The Alley Theater/ Art-Sanctuary, and was asked to perform as an Actor / Acroyoga dancer with the VA Va Vixens, in “Va Va Vegas”. After this, he was asked to try out for the sold-out production of Point Break Live, where he was cast in the lead role of, Bodhi (Patrick Swayze) by the show's Los Angeles Director.

​This ignited a fire in Kenn, and he went on to lead that Swazee role in multiple sold-out productions. He played Hatter Madigan in Frank Beddor (Producer of "Something About Mary") "The Looking Glass Wars" an Alley Theater original adaptation. Kenn conceptualized co-wrote, and starred as Captain Kirk in the world=premier, sold-out productions of “Star Trek, Going Way TOO Far” He also was part of the 1st ever theater production of “Gilligan's Island The Musical” (in which the music was composed by Lawrence Juber from -"Paul McCartney & the Wings".

Kenn had the honor of taking Lawrence to lunch & dinner, showed him music venues and introduced him to several venue owners in Louisville, and took him to the Louisville Magazine Release Party, which was sponsored by The World's Largest Beatles Festival - "Abbey Road on the River"! He spontaneously played a few Beatles songs, including his Grammy Winning version of "While My "While My Guitar Gently Weeps " Kenn suggested he meet with Kenn's friend Gary (the founder of ABOTR) about playing in the Festival, he did and has played the festival multiple years, ever since! Another fond memory, is Kenn rehearsing the musical, with Lawrence)!

Some more Beatle's lore; Kenn was extremely honored to play to a sold-out house at the Kentucky Center for the Arts in 2014, for “The 50th Anniversary of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show”

​He's excited about fronting this new high-energy band, with such amazingly talented and dedicated musicians! He's also writing music that crosses several genres, and plans to release a collaborative EP soon!

RYAN SCHNEIDER
Bass Player, Vocals
Ryan is the original bass player from Thumper and the Plaid Rabbits, friends of Radical Wave, and another friend Mike SHeehy the drummer for Thumper has been playing with R-W for several gigs, and we love performing with these two and the lifelong "tight" band and personal chemistry these 2 share! Ryan is a prolific bass player, who loves the music we play, and playing for you!

He lives in Lexington, KY with his kids, and comes to Louisville and surrounding areas to play with us!

JOHN DARNELL
Lead Guitar, Vocals

​A successful singer-songwriter, "Johnny D" hails from Louisville Kentucky, by way of San Francisco California... His style of rhythmic and high-energy acoustic guitar playing, along with his large, powerful voice, create a musical powerhouse.

He has played shows all over the Midwest ,including St. Louis, Chicago, Kansas City, Louisville, Philadelphia and many more locations.. John's opened for international bands like Nappy Roots, and more! He currently has released a hit single "Without A Trace" on iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, Youtube ,and many other areas for International Sales. ​

Remember how much fun you had going to "Whatever Will" concerts? Or, perhaps you've always wanted to experience that kind of fun music & energy... after successful and fun stints playing bass, keyboards, guitars, with many other awesome Louisville & Southern Indiana bands, WIll is bringing that vibe back with the new group he's formed with Kenn Parks "Radical-Wave"!
