Named "Best Novelty Performer of The Year" by American Entertainment Magazine, award-winning magician and mentalist, Eric Walton has lent his talents to dozens of projects in a wide range of media around the world and has garnered the accolades of the international press along the way.
He performs regularly at comedy clubs and theaters and appears a headliner on some of the world's top cruise lines.
He has been the subject of numerous feature articles in the press, including the Times of London, Zink Magazine, The New York Daily News and The List, and made numerous appearances on television and radio.
Eric is not a children's entertainer and does not perform at children's parties.
We hired Eric for our Christmas drinks party with friends in Manhatten. Circa 25 people. He was such a delighted to have as part of the entertainment and we got a wealth of feedback on his mesmerising tricks, including making our friends wedding band disappear! He blended into the party and just worked the room going from group to group. We would highly recommend Eric and will absolutely be using him again. Professional, charming and very talented. Thanks so much Eric! Tom & Katie.

"Variety" described Eric's act this way: "In 'Esoterica,' sleight-of-hand artist Eric Walton gets himself up in spooky guise and displays an 'I am so amazing that I amaze myself' facade. Beneath it, though, we get a glimpse of the kid next door dressing up to do magic. This makes Walton a charming mountebank, his 100-minute parade of card tricks a delight."
The New York Times said this about the show: “A very entertaining one-man show…a mix of magic, mentalism and intelligent chat. He does all three impressively.”
The London Times offered the following: "Eric Walton's Off-Broadway hit is a masterclass in card magic and mentalism, served up with an arch intellectualism that doesn't take itself too seriously. An absolute pleasure."
And Melita Dennet of the BBC had this to say: "[A]n enjoyable magic and mind-reading show with suave and sophisticated master of sleight of hand Eric Walton. A dapper New Yorker, his entertaining show combined a raffish wit with tricks that just left you wondering how on earth he did it."
Eric has been a student of the conjuring arts since 1999. His one-man show "Esoterica" has been produced in New York City, London, Edinburgh and Brighton, England and was a critic's pick for the Times of London, Backstage East, The List and (link hidden), among others.
His talents for showmanship and sleight of hand have taken him to five continents and his corporate clients comprise many Fortune 500 companies, including Mastercard, Pfizer, Google, GM and Lufthansa.
Eric has performed on television in the U.S. and the U.K.; been a featured performer and master of ceremonies at night-clubs in New York City, London and Atlantic City; and, worked as a magic consultant for numerous shows.
For venues with a capacity that exceeds five-hundred, it's recommended that a camera and projector be used for parts of Eric's act. He uses playing cards for much of his act and it benefits those seated further from the stage to have a video camera mounted in the grid above Eric's table, providing a live feed to the projector.
Apart from that, his act is very self-contained. He provides his own tables and everything he needs to provide two hours of entertainment fits in two suitcases.
