Erica Spear

Erica Spear is an emerging flutist and educator. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree in Flute Performance at the University of Maryland, College Park. Additionally, she serves as adjunct woodwind faculty at St. John's Episcopal School and runs her own private teaching studio. She has also worked as a general music specialist for Wake County Public Schools and as a private teacher and freelancer in the North Carolina Triangle area, also performing as principal flute and piccolo with the Raleigh Civic Symphony.

Additionally, over the past year, she has been exploring music in a different modality by becoming a self-taught DJ. Her musical expertise and ear have lended to her learning the ropes fairly quickly. She has experience curating genre-spanning set lists for wedding anniversaries, dinner parties, casual settings, and is looking to expand and break out with more professional work.
