My name is Erica Missey - I am a full-time caricaturist and artist, providing professional work since 1994. A former animator on "Space Jam" and "The Prince of Egypt," a book illustrator of 20 years, and a caricaturist for nearly 30 years, I love my job and am very privileged to draw and entertain people for a living!
I can entertain your guests with caricatures (cartoon versions of yourself) at any kind of party or event, from black tie occasions to backyard barbeques to birthday bashes for all ages! I do traditional caricatures on paper, digital caricatures, and can draw on many different items and materials as takeaways for your guests!

Erica was great! Her caricatures are amazing, she is so friendly, and even though she had to travel a pretty good distance to get to us, I'm so glad she did! We had a great experience with Erica with Ericatures. She is very personable and a great artist! We went with Ericatures due to liking her artwork the best. Everyone had a wonderful time at our baby sprinkle and the guests loved her. She gave our caricatures an extra special touch to align with our theme. 10/10 recommend!

We hired Erica to do caricatures for our wedding reception. Everyone loved getting drawn by this amazing and talented artist! We used Erica for a large corporate event over the course of two days. Erica is responsible, communicative, extremely professional, and simply a wonderful person. She was so engaging to all the folks stopping by for drawings which I think made their experiences twice as great as it could have been. She was able to make some adjustments for specific requests/extras. Highly recommending her to my larger team to use in the future. We felt so lucky to have her and she was the talk of the entire event!!

We had Erica at our wedding instead of doing a photo booth. Every single guest was able to sit down and get their picture done. Everyone absolutely loved it and thought it was so much fun and unique. Would high recommend!

At parties and events, I draw 16-22 black and white faces per hour on 11" x 14" white paper. I provide clear, plastic bags to protect the drawings and I bring my own easel, lights, and I can bring chairs. For an extra fee, I can also provide cardboard tubes to further protect the drawings. If I'm traveling outside of San Antonio, I may charge for mileage and accommodations.
I can add color and/or small bodies to caricatures. When drawing faces in color or faces with little bodies in black & white, I can generally draw about 10-14 people per hour. I can draw about 6-8 faces with little bodies in color per hour.

I need a roughly 5' x 5' area in which to set up, access to good lighting or a power outlet, and room for people to gather around me to watch the fun. Ideally, it's good for me to be far enough away from music so that I can talk and interact with the customers :).
