As all members of our groups are trained musicians we are able to offer clients with a full range of musical options from Piano/Vocal Jazz sets for a cocktail hour to a full piece dance band. We have a smaller acoustic options for those looking for music for a smaller venue or lighter budget. No matter what genre you're looking for Essie can cover it, from country, hip-hop, funk and more. We pride ourselves on specializing our music to meet your entertainment needs.
Essie & the Big Chill is comprised of five talented musicians from diverse backgrounds. The band formed by chance encounters in 2016 through mutual friends. The name "Essie" was a nickname the drummer gave to front woman, Sarah Ellen Riddle, as a play on her initials and a nod to her southern roots. You'll find Essie & the Big Chill playing anything from Mo-Town Funk, to Classic Rock and Today's Hits.
We can provide full back-line, sound, and lighting for all events.
