THE BEGINNING:
The Expendables of Comedy is a stand-up comedy group formed in October of 2010 by Marcus Lane. It originally began as a mock of the hit movie "The Expendables." Marcus put together a showcase of comedians to help fill the 9 person line up as a joke. The first show, although only put together as a farce, was a hit!
He decided that if this is what people want, this is what people will get! He put together a solid group of comedians that worked well together and have ever since been touring and have now made the Expendables of Comedy name their own.
The group originally mainly comprised of 4 main comedians. Seth Dees, Marcus Lane, Doug Shadell, and Ant Waits. Along with those four they would use regular guests such as Keith Glason, Dave Debeaux, Larry Deshawn and many more. All of the Main Expendables comedians continued to tour all across the nation individually as well as with the group. In the Summer of 2012 due to life situations within the members of the group they all decided to take a break from the tour and focus on their individual careers and family matters.
THE 2015 REBOOT:
As of October 2015 The Expendables of Comedy are back and ready to bring the the house down in a city near you. This time featuring nationally touring comedians that have been seen at the World Series of Comedy, various comedy clubs all across the nation, and multiple TV Credits. They are currently filling up their schedule for the rest of the 2015 year and the 2016 season from venues and promoters. Email us at (email hidden)
