On August 4th my husband and I got married at the Heritage Hall. We hired Face to Face Musical Entertainment and could not have been happier. Our entrance and exit songs were timed perfectly and our first dance was just right as well. We were spoiled when we found out Lori sings jazz and was more than happy to sing for an hour while we took our wedding photos! Our guests are still talking about it! They kept the music current with a side of old which was just right for all our guests. They were professional and polite and I truly loved working with them.

Lori Johnson will sing jazz standards with backtracks for 45-60 minutes during the dinner or cocktail hour. DJ Gary D will play pre-recorded music appropriate to the audience after Lori sings. This may include easy listening music and dance music, depending on what is required for the occasion.
Lori Johnson studied voice at Capilano University where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Music (Jazz Studies). She has been singing in the Vancouver area for 30 years, and has travelled extensively throughout BC. Lori has played with a variety of acts, including Take Two, P.D. Queue and Face to Face duo's. Her extensive repertoire has been influenced by some of the greatest singers in jazz, including Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. Lori's irrepressible vocal style will surely get your toes tapping and put a smile on your face!
DJ Gary D has been entertaining audiences throughout the Lower Mainland for over 35 years. His vast experience includes nightclubs such as Shenanigans, The Side Door, Ceilies, Dewey Party and Howe, and Woody's. He has also been a freelance DJ throughout his career, spinning at high-end hotels, country clubs and private parties around Metro Vancouver for all occasions. DJ Gary D's versatility and knowledge will make your special occasion a memorable one, too!
We provide the PA (500 watts), lighting and DJ gear required to entertain a room or hall of about 100-150 people. If you have a bigger venue or event, we can accommodate at an added charge, depending on the requirements of the event. We do require a six-foot long table for the duration of the event. Our set-up time will vary from event to event, but is on average about 90 minutes (including soundcheck).
We have a library of thousands of AVLA licenced popular songs spanning the last 70 years. We take requests and can tailor make a playlist for your event. Although no two events are exactly alike, experience has shown that some songs work well for most events. Here is a small example:
