Expect to see a high energy hard rock trio who will hit the stage hard and leave the stage with the same amount of energy. We love interacting with the audience to get them to sing along and rock their hearts out.
As a trio, we are very quick with set ups and tear downs. We also always arrive early to load in our equipment so everything is ready to go at a moments notice. Also, we are able to fit in smaller spaces being only a 3 piece which also can make the sound engineers job easier as well.
We are very professional and easy going musicians and are willing to work with whatever we have to put on an unforgettable performance.
It all started when Solomon Davies (Vocalist/Bassist) and Billy Wenzel (Guitarist) met each other at an open mic night at a local shop's grand opening. Billy approached Solomon after he performed and asked about joining a cover band that he was currently in. After some thought, Solomon joined Billy's cover band at the time. After a few practices, Billy heard Solomon playing a song that he wrote and asked Solomon about it. After explaining that it was an original that Solomon had made, Billy then asked about forming an original 3 piece band.
Solomon didn't hesitate and took the offer. Billy then stated, "Now we just need to find a drummer." Solomon replied, "Well, my dad is an excellent drummer, I could ask him." Billy agreed to this offer and Solomon went and asked his father, Carl Davies (Drummer), if he would be interested. Carl hesitated at first and asked, "Are you sure you guys want an older dude in the band?" Solomon and Billy both agreed that it would be an awesome idea. Carl then agreed to join. After a couple of practices, they began to write and within a month or two of being together had written a few originals together and got their first gig at Solomon's school. The chemistry felt just right and after their first few shows, they knew they had something special. Fast forward 7 or 8 years and the band ended up taking a hiatus due to both COVID and familial obligations. 4 years later they ended up regrouping and began the process of getting back together. Now in 2024 Falling From One is back up and running and has a full set list loaded with their own hard-hitting songs and covers!
As far as sound goes, we primarily just require the basics such as:
Drum mics for a 4-piece drum set, kick drum mic, and overhead mics for cymbals.
The bass amp that we currently use is an Ampeg SVT-450 which has a direct out option on it as well to make it easier for the sound engineer.
The vocalist uses a vocal effects pedal (primarily for harmony effects) which requires one extra XLR cable for his mic. He is willing to adjust anything on the pedal necessary to make sure that the vocal mic sounds crystal clear.
The guitarist will just need a vocal mic primarily for speaking and a mic for his amp. That's all that's really needed for sound.
As far as lighting, we don't "require" lighting but love whatever lighting is offered to us.
If we are responsible for finding Sound for the show, we will include the charge for sound in our fee as well.
