OUR STORY
the FAMILY AFFAIR BRASS BAND (2022) is a multi-generational all-star hit squad, composed of full-time professional street musicians. Our elders have been playing street music in the French Quarters since the 1970's, and our youngest members include 4th and 5th generation New Orleans musicians.
We believe in the power of music, and its ability to remind folks that we are all one family on this planet. Our mission is to unite people of all ages, walks, and styles in music, and we will not rest until the whole world is rollin' with us in one giant parade. The Family Affair Brass Band is a squad of New Orleans brass band musicians who all perform daily in the french quarter at classic spots like Cafe Du Monde, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, and more. The group's members span several generations and include musicians who've spent time with some of New Orleans's iconic brass band groups: the Dirty Dozen, the Lil' Rascals, the Rebirth, & the Olympia, among others. The group is an all-star lineup of hard-working and talented performers who spend their time and energy keeping New Orleans cultural music alive in the French Quarter.
