Meet Famous American Women! Entertaining, engaging & fascinating Americans who made history--for your event! National credits; amazing testimonials. Gorgeous costumes. All ages! We love History!
Meet Betsy Ross, Louisa May Alcott, Clara Barton, Mary Todd Lincoln, Amelia Earhart & more. Actress Fanny Kemble talks about abolition and reads Shakespeare in America. Votes for Women and League of Women Voters founder Carrie Chapman Catt will tell how it all happened--what a story!
Highly-researched and ready to make your gathering an outstanding event. Meet & Greet, 1-woman shows, speeches, workshops, tea parties, conventions, commemorations, fund-raisers, and parades--any celebration!
Pat did an amazing job as Martha Washington at a corporate event for us. She was able to mingle with all of our guests and tailor her conversation to pertain to our industry while still representing her history. Her witty remarks and dry humor were a huge hit. I recommend her 100%. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our evening with her.
I had the pleasure of hiring Ms. Pat Jordan, who portrayed the historical figure Clara Barton at our recent event. She delivered a delightful and engaging performance, skillfully connecting Barton's life experiences to the attendees' profession. Ms. Jordan's charm, thorough preparation, and ability to create a meaningful connection made her portrayal a highlight of the event. In addition to her outstanding performance, Ms. Jordan demonstrated excellent communication leading up to the event and arrived punctually, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all involved.

Thank you, Angelika! Very much appreciated. You and your attendees made it a pleasure.
Best wishes,
Pat
Very informative and enjoyable, the crowd shared comments afterward, that they had a very memorable/enjoyable time.
Our community thoroughly enjoyed this historically accurate portrayal of Clara Barton! Pat is very knowledgeable and answered every question that was asked. She is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend History Alive.
We invited "Martha Washington" to appear at our school for Presidents' Day. She was specifically asked to speak about her youth and her time with President Washington. She came in accurate period dress with an artifact from the time.
Great and informative interpretation - was very well done.
Response from Famous American Women - History Alive!:
Hi, Catherine - It was such a pleasure to meet you, your fellow educators and the students. Thanks for your lovely review. Best, Pat
Betsy arrived in full colonial attire. She was well-prepared, lovely to work with and presented a very interesting, complete story of Betsy Ross. She took questions afterwards, which were answered with well-researched history. A great evening and we are very thankful to have found her for our event. THANK YOU!
Response from Famous American Women - History Alive!:

She was funny, entertaining and informative. Everyone had a great time
Pat Jordan did a great job as Clara Barton. She was very believable as "Clara" Unfortuately she was presented at the end of a very long day and the audience was small but they loved her! We heard nothing but good comments from all that attended.
Response from Famous American Women - History Alive!:
Thanks, Laura!
Betsy Ross was a great draw to our booth. She provided meet and greet and photo opportunities with the flag (for flag day). She also interacted great with children and gave star making demos. She was wonderful with everyone, was prompt and courteous. I would recommend her to anyone.
Pat Jordan was Martha Washington. Not only was she entertaining, but made history come alive. She gave us historical perspective of the woman, and anecdotes of events we never knew before. All I heard after the event were praise for her performance. Bravo Pat. Lynda Nolan

Pat was a huge help for our event, and she was a big hit with all of our guests! Would definitely book her again in the future!
We booked this performer for an active adult community. We were able to tailor the performance to work with our theme of women's history month and St. Patrick's Day. We absolutely recommend Famous American Women - History Alive!

Hi, Debra - Thanks! Have a great summer!
Betsy Ross was a great addition to out event, the Philadelphia Sleep Conference. Jan was early, she greeted our attendees, and did a great job introducing our host. History came alive at our meeting.

Thanks, Michael!!!!
Price Range: $250 and up
Performer will set up and be in costume, ready to go on 20 minutes before presentation time. Special requests should be established in advance and performer will arrive in enough time to be prepped about your needs so nothing is left to chance.
Meet & Greet is straight forward. One-woman plays are usually 45 minutes, but there is considerable flexibility where there is a time concern. A speech can be whatever length the client requires. If a Q&A is opted for, it will last about 15 minutes and guests are welcome to ask questions after the event.
Costumes are beautiful and researched thoroughly. Audiences love our work!

Writing credits include Every Teacher’s Friend Classroom Plays (Players Press); a series of introductions to six college-level classic play releases (Drama D’Arts Publishers); theatre reviewer; and arts interviewer. For over a decade she wrote and performed in her own company's mystery shows--great fun!
Pat studied at H-B Studio in New York with Herbert Berghof and Hal Holden; the Juilliard Opera Workshop with Vincent LaSelva; holds a BA (cum laude) in Theatre and Communication Arts from Villanova University; and advanced study in acting, directing and playwriting.
One-woman performances generally need a small wooden table and wooden chair, but there is some flexibility. A speech requires a podium. Larger groups or ones with hearing-impaired audience members may wish to provide a microphone. General lighting for small groups. Large stages need good focused lighting at down center stage.
