Fatima Anyekema lives in South Bend, Indiana, US. She has performed and captivated audiences across Nigeria, Canada and the United States for over fifteen years. Her performances include operas and concerts, recitals, ensemble singing, chorus and solo recordings. She was formerly a Co-Director of music at the Notre Dame Children’s Choir (NDCC), University of Notre Dame, Indiana where she coached students in singing and prepared students to give recitals. She was a member of the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) Choir from 2006 until 2018 when she moved to the United States. She is also the Co-Founder of Musica Casa Chorale that participated in the World Choir Games held in South Africa in 2018. She is currently a member of the South Bend Chamber Singers. Fatima enjoys teaching and working with children.
She is passionate about music education and contributing to the development of young people’s singing voices. She comes from a family of seven where she is the only professional musician.
She loves cross country driving, traveling and enjoys her own personal company when she is not entertaining guests.
A good sound equipment at venue would do. Usually my husband accompanies on the piano, but when he is not available, I would use a rousing backing track.
