My name is Jim Carter and I would like to introduce myself to you. I am a singer/piano player with a background as a musical tribute artist, studio musician, lead and background band vocalist and dueling piano player. I am also a signed recording artist with Tree Records/Escape Label and a seasoned character and voice-over actor.
I have two very entertaining shows. First, "FATS" the Musical. It is a "Mardi Gras" style stage show featuring the music of 1950 & 60's "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame" legend Fats Domino. Second, "Rockin' Santa", a piano playing, vocal wailing, rock & roll Xmas Show
My partner, Skip "the Lip" Greene, and I also have a great "Dueling Pianos" act called C.G. KEYZ.

Jim Carter is a great single and "Dueling Pianos" performer. Enjoy singing, clapping and laughing, with your friends and clients, to one of the most musical and fun players on the market today!...a good time is ALWAYS had by all!
Jim's show "FATS" the Musical is a New Orleans/Mardi Gras party style event. The sets and lighting all reflect a Mardi Gras celebration. The show itself has the feel of a “Fats Domino” concert with Jim Carter as “Fats” (with piano) front and center and the backup band set at different levels behind him. (The background music is also available on tracks based on your budget.)
This is a New Orleans style show so the audience is encouraged to party. That includes dancing, clapping, singing along, etc. During the show, Fats talks and jokes about his life, not in long monologues, but in “short” song intros. Many portions of the show will almost seem like medleys because of the Fats Domino concert style. In concert, Fats was known to start songs back-to-back, meaning that when one song would end the next song would began almost immediately. This keeps the show energy high and fast paced.
My name is Jim Carter
Recording artist Jim Carter's version of the rock classic "Walking In Memphis" (from his CD "Daydreamer") is #2 on, New Zealand record company, Tree Record's top sales chart
I am a singer/piano player with a background as a musical tribute artist, studio musician, lead and background band vocalist and dueling piano player. I am also a signed recording artist with Tree Records/Escape Label and a seasoned character and voice-over actor.
I have performed as "Ron" in a national touring company of the 1968 Broadway musical "Hair", as well as at many noted entertainment icons such as Radio City Music Hall (New York, NY), Walt Disney World (Lake Buena Vista, FL), Universal/Orlando Resort (Orlando, FL), New York New York Casino and Resort (Las Vegas, NV), legendary riverboat Delta Queen (New Orleans, LA), Camp Lemonnier (Djibouti, Africa) and multiple other performances in Canada, Europe and, of course, the United States.
I have worked with such name artists as Helen Reddy, Red Buttons, Jose Feliciano, Peabo Bryson, Walter Crockett, David Faustino (Bud from "Married With Children") and The Radio City "Rockettes".
I have a very entertaining tribute show named "FATS" the Musical. "FATS" the Musical is a "Mardi Gras" style stage show based on the music of 1950 & 60's "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame" legend Fats Domino.
Antoine "Fats" Domino came out of New Orleans in the 1950's with a rockin' "boogie woogie" piano style and a warm, easy going voice to become one of rock and roll's earliest and greatest stars. Now join me, Jim Carter, as I relive those happy days when you "found you're thrill on Blueberry Hill"!
"Fats" the Musical is the "only" Fats Domino Tribute Show in the United States!
I gained my appreciation for Fats and "the Big Easy" while performing on the legendary riverboat, the Delta Queen, along with the Mississippi Queen and the American Queen riverboats, which docked in New Orleans. I fell in love with the laid back atmosphere, the great food and the incredible “party” music. After hurricane Katrina, the thought of loosing those sights and sounds sadden me. So I created this show in order to preserve the music and attitude of the "Big Easy" and one of it's musical favorite sons!
My second show is "Rockin" Santa" a Christmas themed Rock & Roll show starring a piano playing, vocal wailing version of "Old St Nick"! While the show can and has been performed for kids, this show is more for Mom and Dad to enjoy.
My partner, Skip "the Lip" Greene, and I also have a great "Dueling Pianos" style show named C.G. KEYZ. We, presently, have a very funny Escape Records cover release of the Isaac Hayes/South Park hit "Chocolate Salty Balls" out on iTunes and Amazon-mp3. C.G. KEYZ is consider one of the top dueling acts in Florida
A signed recording artist with New Zealand record company Tree Records/Escape Label, my adult contemporary album "Daydreamer" is now available as a digital download, distributed globally by The Orchard, on digital music sites worldwide including iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Hot Topic, MySpace, Napster, Real/Rhapsody, Sony DADC, Verizon, Virgin and many more.
