Felix Herbst

Felix provided ceremony music for a Central Park wedding following a nasty storm that shut down the subway for some time. Despite the challenge of finding a way to get into Manhattan, he was on-time and ready to go. Felix played absolutely perfect and really set the tone for the ceremony that followed during a light, misty rain shower. He was a great communicator, so accommodating and a pleasure to work with.

Felix played the violin and DJ’ed at my wedding. He was by far the easiest vendor to work with. His communication was excellent prior to the wedding. During the wedding, he played at the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. He was absolutely exceptional! My guests couldn’t stop raving about how amazing Felix was. My husband and I booked Felix for his violin services initially but ended up adding on his DJ service as well and we are SO happy we did! Felix was such an incredible addition to our day. Our guests were blown away by his violin playing (as were we!), and it really added such a special touch to our day. He was also incredible as a DJ/MC. He took all of our music requests very seriously and really tailored the music to our taste which was extremely important to us. The dance floor always full and people had an absolute blast. Felix even brought out his violin during the reception to play along with some of the dance music and us and our guests went wild for him, it was very cool. Felix was also extremely approachable and was very receptive to my requests throughout the night. Do not hesitate to book if he is available!

Felix was amazing! From having an abundance of songs to choose from plus even learning a song we really wanted him to play, everything was so great. I am so happy we chose to have Felix play at our wedding ceremony, he made it everything I had imagined and more! I wish we booked him for longer because I think it would’ve been nice to hear him play more during the cocktail hour.

Wish I had more options of stars! I happen to meet Felix for one of my projects of fusion music with Tabla (an Indian percussion instrument). the moment I met him, I immediately connected as a musician with him and I knew it will bring a wonderful outcome.
He even helped me gather other musicians and composed a tune. He is a very hardworking guy and very easy to work with. His calm composer brings the best out of him. we recorded in the recording studio and it came out wonderful. I think people like Felix bring soul to the music when they play live. it's mesmerizing to see him play his violin.

I hired Felix to play a selection of songs for me and my wife’s anniversary, on the beach where we were married a year ago. Felix did a fantastic job! He was very communicative from the beginning, answering all my questions and figuring out a backup rain plan with me and sending me samples of his work. Felix, was amazing! I told him that we were having a traditional west African wedding and would like to hear Afrobeat. He said no problem, send over the songs I wanted to hear.
