Fine-Tooned Caricatures

I always arrive 20-30 minutes early so I can meet the person who booked me, find the spot I will be drawing, and get set up. I only need a space of about 5 ft by 7 ft to work with. I sit in a chair at my easel, with two or three chairs in front of me for people to sit in while I draw them. While I draw them I like to make chit-chat (if the noise level will permit conversation), and before they know it they will be revealed the drawing of themselves in caricature form! I generally draw the whole time from start to finish, and people are usually lined up to get caricatures.

I am a 28-year-old artist living in Chicago. I started drawing caricatures at the Lincoln Park Zoo and fell in love with it. From there I went on to working events and fairs, always trying to push myself to become a better artist. I strive to capture what really stands out about each person. At every event I do, my goal is to capture people's likenesses and to give them an impressive piece of artwork to take home.

I can draw in black and white or in color. I take about 10 minutes per person in black & white, and 15 minutes per person in color.

I currently study traditional drawing at an atelier under Grigor Eftimov in Chicago.

I just need three or four chairs, a space of at least 5 feet x 7 feet, and an area with decent lighting. I'll take care of the rest!
