Fire Bellydancer Lorenda

Lorenda was absolutely amazing for our Christmas in July party! She arrived early to set up and was very professional yet so much fun and easy going.

Her presence made our whole party memorable and we can not wait to bring her back for other holiday parties we will have. Her fire act was really impressive and is such a huge addition to any party!!

Me and my friend signed up for a fire lesson from Lorenda and had a really fun time. It was my friend's first time using fire, and Lorenda was very thorough in going over safety precautions and explaining everything to make sure we knew what we were doing and what to do if something started not going according to plan.

I've had a handful of fire lessons and she showed me a lot that I was still not familiar with. She showed off her different fire props and gave us the chance to use a few of them. We got to use palm torches, a fire sword, and do a bit of fleshing.

The main thing we focused on was fire eating, which Lorenda was very clear on all the steps we needed to take to do so as safely as possible. She made it clear how dangerous fire eating could be if you were not being careful, so she spent a lot of time having us practice with unlit torches, and explaining to us what to do before and after fire eating to avoid any bad side effects. Me and my friend both felt confident enough by the end of the fire eating lesson that we were able to successfully extinguish a few torches. It was such a fun time and I feel like it gave us a good foundation for being able to pursue the skill further if we wanted to.

We learned with Lorenda for about 4 hours and came away having learned a lot of good information and having a really memorable experience.

We had Lorenda as our entertainment for my husband’s 60th birthday luaua! It was just the perfect combo of fire dancing/hula/belly dancing! She captivated the audience the entire time and did a great job of including the guests in a limbo contest and teaching a hula dance. Throughout the entire process she was professional and thorough and kept the lines of communication open. Safety of guests was always a priority as well. Would definitely recommend her. She came to our assisted living community for our luau party! Very professional and amazing!! I reached out to Lorenda about teaching a fire dancing workshop in 2017 for an event I was planning. She went so above and beyond what would be expected and actually ended up co-hosting the event with me. Extremely knowledgeable in every aspect, in particular with fire safety, permits and laws in different cities and states. I was so impressed I ended up taking private lessons as well as her workshop she taught before our event. After teaching a sold out workshop, she traveled to our event space and performed a beautiful traditional Arabic piece to a live band followed by a fire show to several rock songs! Lorenda is a true performer. Her dances are alluring. With every twist, twirl and slithering snake move, the audience won't be able to blink. Her eyes dance with the crowd. Once she brings out the wings and swords it is entertainment at its best. Coincidentally she is from Atlantic City because her act is shore to please!!

I had seen Lorenda perform belly ancing in the past, even incorporating fire, and I was quite curious to learn more. Lorenda taught a beginner's belly dancing class in my home on a couple of occasions so that I and a few friends could learn the history and practice some Middle Eastern dance moves ourselves.

Due to my unique struggles with balance, spine alignment, and muscle movement in one leg as a result of a birth defect, I expected this class to be a challenge - for both myself and Lorenda. We were both easily able to rise to the occasion, thanks to her enthusiasm, attention and encouragement.
