My set-up is pretty simple. I have all my tracks on an iPad that runs to a personal mixer. I plug my mic, guitar and iPad into the mixer, and run one channel out. I have a line-array PA and lights for smaller venues, and can run one line to a local PA, but larger venues will need their own lights. I will work with the local FOH engineer to determine the best course of action. It's simple, it's compact, and it lessons the opportunity for malfunction.
