We've won the popular Vote for WNC's Best Jazz Band over a dozen times since 2003! We are a 7 piece tradition jazz band based out of Asheville, NC. We provide a jumping style of 1920s jazz that will kick your event to the next level. You won't find a hotter band in the Southeast. We've performed over a thousand gigs since our founding in 2003. Over nearly two decades of honing our craft everywhere from street corners, jazz festivals across the nation and the Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
Firecracker Jazz Band has been one of the main headlining acts at the Crow & Quill in Asheville NC for nearly 8 years now. They are consummate professionals, and they always put on an extraordinary performance. Rarely have I ever seen a crowd engage with a band like this. The bar revenues go through the roof every time they play, and the customers leave happy and feeling like they had a one of a kind experience, because they really have. Seriously, book this band!

In hundreds of performances since 2003, Firecracker Jazz Band has played everywhere from street corners, secret speakeasies, jazz festivals nationwide, swing-and-swill dance halls, Bonnaroo and the Kennedy Center. Based in the beautiful confluence of plentiful music and majestic mountains that is Asheville, NC, a performance by Firecracker Jazz Band is an explosive, fun-soaked, experience. The band revitalizes traditional jazz with unbounded energy and makes jazz the people’s music once again. With jubilance and vigor paying homage to the pioneers of early 20th century jazz, including that of dixieland and New Orleans, Firecracker Jazz Band carries the still-burning torch that was once lit by such greats as Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke and other heroes of pre-war jazz music.
