Pop Up Petting is a mobile petting zoo (farm) that is based on the adorable FlockWorks goats and other small animals like rabbits, chickens and ducks.
Our events are simple and personal and are crafted to be interactive and engaging. We always attempt to gear the event toward you, your tastes and goals.
Great experience, very friendly, and everyone loved the animals
Price Range: $75 to $250 per hour depending on size ans type.
Unless otherwise specified, all of our petting zoo events are goat centered. A fair amount of the time people request a goat only mobile petting zoo experience. We really feel goats appeal to all ages and make a good connection with people Plus they are cute, fun and often funny. Everyone loves goats!
Our basic petting zoo includes three goats and a few miscellaneous small animals like rabbits, chickens, ducks, etc. Usually (depends on animal availability and season) we bring a mother, her baby (occasionally, babies) and another small to midsize goat.
Our next service level up we come with seven or more goats and a very similar selection of of smaller animals. Having a larger number of animals gives a larger variety of personalities. We almost always deliberately bring one or two shy goats for larger events. More reserved goats often connect with people and children that more rambunctious goats cannot connect with. If space allows we have a semi-separate area for the quieter goats and make a concentrated effort to watch out for people who seem like they may especially connect with the shier goats.
We raise our animals to be comfortable with people, but not people centered. Meaning that they raised with their mothers and in a natural setting so they enjoy people, but not *adore* people to the point where they are annoying. Our events are very simple and interactive. We encourage people to sit with the goats, feed them natural food (Depending on the season, we prune for them and hand our small amounts) and just enjoy their nature.
By default, all of our events are geared toward outside. We can make most any size space work, but having extra space can be a plus in some setting, especially if your group is large.
We are able to accommodate indoor events, but there is an additional fee as more time, materials and clean up are required. When we are done, everything will be like it was when we first arrived.
When our petting zoo is at a fair, festival, or other event that has loud other activities or games, we like to be separated from the loud activities if at all possible. We cannot be located next to anything that has intermittently loud sounds like explosions or screaming.
Goats have a high emotional intelligence and can pickup on the mood of what goes on around them,
