Flowstone is a versatile multi-genre band that can play electric or acoustic. We specialize in jam-band music, which blends americana with funk and blues and psychedelic rock. Our live shows are a mix of original tunes with vocals and full instrumental improvised sets, which can be negotiated upon request. The music is highly listenable, great for a dance party or a more intimate and quiet listening session. Each show is unique, and no song is played the same way twice. We are strongly influenced by bands like The Grateful Dead, Phish, Allman Brothers, Santana and the New Orleans funk scene.
I worked the bar for our final music series up at Lake Sonoma, and these guys just crushed it. We had one of our biggest crowds of the season, and the music was amazing! They kept people on their feet dancing and vibing the whole night. We have a crowd that runs the gamut and everyone was happy... to a person, everyone I spoke with said it was one of their favorites of the series. =)
We are so looking forward to next year, and having them back. What a great group of professionals, in every way. (There are only two choices for the style of music, and while I think funk is a good descriptor, they have a huge amount of depth that "funk" doesn't adequately cover the range of their music.)

Each of the 5 members of Flowstone is an accomplished bay area musician with years of performance experience. We have 2 albums under our belt, a number of unique live performances ranging from private parties to your standard Friday night music venue and have been asked to play in summer music series gigs up in Sonoma County. We love playing music. Sharing the stage with each other is our favorite thing and the joy that we feel is hopefully what we bring to you.
