I create a program based on your wants and needs. My job as a musician is to reflect that atmosphere that you want to create at your event. We will work together to create an event that is reflective of your vision.
Lydia has a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Northern Iowa, where she studied flute with Dr. Angeleita Floyd. Active as a performer and educator, she has performed with numerous ensembles including the Northern Iowa Wind Ensemble and Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra. Lydia has also appeared as a soloist with the Northern Iowa Flute Choir, UNI West African Drum Ensemble and the Metropolitan Chorale of Waterloo-Cedar Falls. She has international playing and teaching experience: on tour with UNI Wind Symphony in Northern Italy and during her study abroad experience in Thessaloniki, Greece where she performed with a local community orchestra. Lydia maintains a small private studio in Central Iowa. In addition to music making, Lydia is passionate about International Affairs and has held positions in international non-profit and higher education.
