Follow the River is a dynamic musical group ready to perform at your next event. We specialize in Weddings, Cocktail hours, Corporate Events, house parties and outdoor concerts. Our repertoire is diverse and can accommodate your preferences and needs. We love contemporary music and the soundtracks of the popular TV show Bridgerton.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Follow the River at a Bridgerton-themed party on July 6, and I can’t say enough good things about their performance! The quartet’s elegant playing perfectly captured the enchanting atmosphere of the evening. Each member showcased incredible talent, bringing a delightful mix of classical and contemporary pieces that resonated beautifully with the theme.
Their interpretation of the Bridgerton soundtrack really set the tone for the night. We felt delightfully transported back to the time period of Bridgerton. The musicians’ chemistry and passion for their craft were evident, and they truly elevated the event. If you’re looking for a string quartet that combines skill, charm, and an ability to set the perfect mood, I highly recommend Follow the River. They are a remarkable addition to any occasion!

We went out on a limb and decided to try out a live string quartet for a corporate work function. We usually hired a DJ in the past but we really wanted to bring a higher level of authenticity and dynamics to this event. I’m so glad I reached out to Follow the River! My director hasn’t stopped thanking me for scheduling them for our event, they were the real deal! They were incredibly easy to work with. Everything from getting on their schedule to interacting with them at the event, they were very patient, polite, professional and eager to get the entire team on the same page during the planning phase. They played a wide variety of popular music and sounded amazing. We’ll absolutely be calling them for our future events.

About
Follow the River is a mixed chamber music group providing services for weddings, events, cocktail hours, parties, and recording. Violin, viola, cello, guitar, upright bass, flute, clarinet, and piano.
Our service area is the Hampton Roads and Richmond Virginia areas, but have extensive experience traveling and touring, should your event require it. The group is a modular ensemble, capable of adding or subtracting members based on the budget, music choices or sounds desired by the clients. We cover many genres such as classical, jazz, modern pop and even Bridgerton quartet arrangements! Our goal is to be a "one stop shop" for any event that prefers live music.
We are also excited to announce being a preferred vendor of Colonial Williamsburg events.
What sets us apart from other groups is the high expectations that we hold ourselves to. These standards extend from musicianship to music choice, from dress to a simple and pain free booking process. Members of the ensemble hold principal chairs with professional orchestras, have played with multiple Grammy winning bands and orchestras. Together we have decades of touring, performing and recording experience. This experience and musicianship lend themselves to incredibly positive and memorable experiences for our clients.
