Forever Tina

Just saw them last night in Newtown. Fabulous voice, amazing ! The band could have a show of its own, it is that good.
The dancers are unnecessary. Newtown theatre has a small stage it was a bunch of arms and legs flailing all around. I don’t want to criticize them, the 4 of them danced their hearts out. However, they did not add anything to the show. Half the time I could not watch them. They reminded me of a high school event. Everyone was doing the well practiced moves but the connections to the music ?? Also one was trying to steal the stage.
Suzette’s voice does not need this distraction. She needs 2, two Good dancers, that enhance her Tina moves and timing not compete or audition for their next job. She is a tiny woman with an incredible voice. Obviously very generous and grateful, she allowed and recognized the talent on stage with her, however she is why we come. The VOICE!
I’m truly not trying to be critical. You see something that is right on the edge of true greatness and yet. Most of the time it’s lacking that great talent. Forever Tina is not lacking, your trying to hard. Focus on Tina. Your voice is so close it’s scary.
Great band, but tooooo many solos in the middle of the show, play more songs during the short break. Spread the solos out to cut Tina some breathing times and more “Tina moves “ to enhance the connection. Then it’s not a separate performance or side act. It’s an interaction with your band. Also the audience is being entertained not waiting. People’s attention spends have decreased with technology. Scattered solos are an enhancement to a performance not a separate one.
Keep your dancers to the side or in back of you not beside you. Your lost. The GoGo costumes (dancers) need less seduction my husband said a couple them only needed a pole and their dancing would fit right in. ( That’s coming from a man).
Suzette has an incredible body, she doesn’t need that all round her. She needs her style, what makes her body look fabulous , she already oozes Tina. Loved the jeans jacket one, always love the oversized white shirt one too.
