I am a singer-songwriter, piano player, guitarist and vocalist who delivers folk, rock, alt folk, pop and jazz covers and originals with a pure but with an edge performance. I love to put an original twist on the classics and bring nostalgia and and catharsis to each performance.

1. Arrival 30 mins before event begins. I will set up my equipment wearing a mask and will take it off when I play.
2. I will arrange my guitar case and CD's available for sale if people are interested.
3. I will begin on time and introduce myself and my music and will begin the show.
4. Shows are usually two hours and will take a ten minute intermission between sets.

Frances Hope is a singer-songwriter and indie-folk artist born and bred in Edmonton, AB, and has lived in Victoria, BC for the past five years. Her music is inspired by early Joni Mitchell and remnants of Lana Del Ray, Florence and the Machine, & Brandi Carlile. She was a contestant on Season 8 of a Canadian singing competition called The Shot: Remastered and was featured on Indistry TV's artist showcase last year, and received second place in a global songwriting crowdfunding competition out of Nashville, TN. She looks forward to growing her audience as a performer, and is presently working on her second EP album.
She is a natural performer, singer-songwriter and poet. Her music is an eclectic combination of sweetness and grit, and is not afraid to dig deep to spread her truths to the world. Behind big eyes and an infectious laugh lives a passion and a drive to achieve her dreams of doing music on the best stages in the world. She recently teamed up with producer extraordinaire, Matt Gibbs, to release her debut EP album, Frances Hope, in April 2020, has been featured on three playlists on Spotify, and has almost completed her second EP, titled "Lifeline".
Accompanying herself on guitar, she has played her music in several venues around town and has made four guest appearances on the University of Victoria’s radio station, CFUV (101.9 FM). She continues to write new songs and work to improve her craft every day. Her sound is a fusion of poetic lilts and melodies with a pop flair, and has been described as “intimate and touching with subtle and emotional insight.” Frances released her self-titled EP album in early 2020 and was played on CFUV-FM immediately after its release and twice since. Her sound has been characterized as “pure, but with an edge” and “a unique blend of timeless melodic stylings.”
