The harp is a beautiful instrument, and it's a versatile one. Freb Hunt-Bull plays a wide variety of classical, celtic, pop, jazz, folk music and more on her harp. Her instrumental performances flow easily from one genre to another, creating a diverse and delightful soundscape for special events. Freb is also a singer, happy to engage audiences in the stories she tells through song.
I live in the Adirondacks, and I can legally work in Canada as well as the US, so if you’re near the northern NY border, please consider me.
We had a summer cocktail party, and I requested Baroque music. Freb was fantastic, easy to work with, and prompt. I recommend her highly!

Freb plays and teaches harp, piano, voice, and guitar. Her primary instrument is harp, which she has been playing since 1996, and which she studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Freb loves many musical styles. She is equally happy playing beautiful background music on her favourite instrument and entertaining with songs and ballads that reflect her eclectic musical interests.
The harp is a big instrument! Freb needs a minimum of 5' x 5' for her, her harp, and her sound equipment, as well as access to an electrical outlet. The harp is beautiful, but quite, and even in an intimate gathering, it needs to be amplified to be audible.
Outdoors locations are wonderful, but neither the harp nor the sound equipment can get wet.

The contemporary harp music of Deborah Henson-Conant and Rüdiger Opperman have been highly influential on Freb, who particularly enjoys both the sound of electric or amplified harp and creative interpretations of traditional and jazz music on the harp.
Freb has also been strongly influenced by the folk tradition of singing storytellers such as Sandy Denny.
