Fritz and his band was incredibly easy to work with! I could tell after just a simple phone call with Fritz that he was and is a passionate and genuinely good person. He is very reasonably priced for a very dynamic show. We hired him to preform at Virginia Tech’s Adult Day Services 30th Anniversary celebration in December 2022. We made it clear we’d have a huge age range at our event (youngest being 4, oldest in their 90s), yet he made sure there was something for everyone, while still adding his own flare and showmanship. They had people up and dancing together and it was such a wonderful sight to see. I feel confident we made the right choice for our event and I hope you choose Fritz and his band as well! Their energy truly is contagious!
We loved hosting Fritz's band at our event! They were all fun, friendly and adapted to us effortlessly. Oh and their music was awesome! Would definitely want them again.

* Do you want to hear a Taylor Swift song in a smooth jazz style, featuring the banjo?
* Does three-part vocal harmony on classic 50s and 60s tunes make your attendees' spines tingle?
* Would an Irish jig medley have your audience dancing in the aisles?
* Have you ever wondered what a Twenty One Pilots song would sound like with a flute in the mix?
* Is your audience itching to sing along to Stand By Me accompanied by hammered dulcimer?
* Would hearing Bluegrass and Classical styles unexpectedly pop up in the middle of Pop songs inspire smiles in your attendees?
* Does the sound of a saxophone, banjo or Irish bouzouki seem like a fun way to spice up a Beatles tune?
* Do you think it would be fun to hear mandolin, electric guitar and fiddle featured on a Bruno Mars cover, followed by a Statler Brothers hit song, followed by a danceable Earth, Wind & Fire number?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, Fritz Schindler Band have got you covered. They will delight your audience with their wide variety of styles, musicianship and enthusiasm. Just like Rick Astley famously sang, Fritz Schindler Band is "never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down!" Contact them today to play for your special event!
Fritz Schindler is a versatile, joy-filled whirlwind of musical enthusiasm. His energetic live shows combine him playing a vast array of traditional Appalachian instruments—mandolin, guitar, hammered dulcimer, bouzouki, banjo, piano, percussion—along with his versatile singing voice and some combination of terrific musicians backing him up. Frequently added into the mix are live-looping and layering techniques, combined together to make a unique and spell-binding experience he likes to call Contagious Folk ‘n’ Roll.
The talented multi-instrumentalist singer grew up in the epicenter of Appalachian heritage, Berea, KY, and is proud to now call Radford, VA his home. Fritz and his wife, Andrea, have three daughters, two dogs, and a house full of laughter, music and fur from those two doggone dogs.
Over the years, Fritz has opened for or shared the stage with many incredibly talented artists including: Jimmy Fortune, Michael Johnathon, Ted Yoder, The Afters , 7eventh Time Down, Hawk Nelson, The Vespers, Raymond & Ruth McLain, The New Coon Creek Girls, Sky Dixon, The Penny Loafers, Nevertheless, BlueTree, Ilia, Derek Minor, Aidan Broadbridge and Jason Harrod, just to name a few. Since 2014 Fritz has been touring with a full backing band, playing concerts, churches and festivals throughout the Southeast U.S. Fritz always brings his signature smile and warm enthusiasm to every stage, whether electrifying a crowd on his own or with his delightfully engaging band.
No matter your age or musical preference, within a few short minutes, Fritz Schindler will have your toes tapping, hands clapping, and before you know it, you’ll probably find yourself singing or dancing along!
