Gandor Chorale began as a backing band in the NYC underground drag scene, performed with and adjacent to transgender punk movement Brooklyn Transcore, and now heads the loose and varied pop collective Brooklyn Massive. The Brooklyn three-piece blends influences of riot grrl, goth, industrial, dance-punk and experimental noise to underscore violent and exquisite lyrics. Its welcoming shows and diverse audience demonstrate Gandor's wide appeal, and a constant stream of new material and continuous development of the old means no show sounds the same.
I've have the pleasure of booking gigs with GC on two occasions so far (with more hopefully in the near future). All three members are the most amicable bunch I've seen in the indie scene for quite some time. More than willing to lend a pedal or let you know if your live mix needs to be adjusted, you feel like they are in your corner and not just another band on the bill. Their performances are energetic and fueled with raw power. I highly recommend them for any venue/location as they are chameleons of noise-pop brilliance.
Gandor Chorale played original series 2 Girls | 1 Asian's launch and finale party in June and August of 2014. They were professional, pleasant, and extremely helpful, even giving their time and equipment to other bands at the event. They sounded great and have catchy material with lyrics you can sink your teeth into. Highly recommend this band!

With an accessible aggressiveness to catch the ears of Millenials and an attention to songwriting craft that wins the respect of Gen Xers, Gandor Chorale offers a way forward for alt-rock radio. Its welcoming shows and diverse audience demonstrate Gandor's wide appeal, and a constant stream of new material and continuous development of the old means no show sounds the same.
Gandor Chorale began as a backing band in the NYC underground drag scene, performed with and adjacent to transgender punk movement Brooklyn Transcore, and now heads the loose and varied pop collective Brooklyn Massive. By re-arranging and deconstructing bandleader and multi-instrumentalist Cameron Toy's solo EP JUST BE COOL through the addition of bassist Caroline Faustine and drummer Cris Neglia, Gandor chorale blended influences of riot grrl, goth, industrial, dance-punk and experimental noise to underscore Cameron's violent and exquisite lyricism.
Gandor Chorale's technical flexibility allows for the minimum requirement of a place, a time, and a few outlets (electricity). Although a PA and lighting setup is preferable.
