I hired Gene for a young adult Halloween party this year, and he absolutely exceeded my expectations!! It was a nighttime show from 9-10:30. He was so flexible with my somewhat small house and managed to be on time and set up easily. The magic was jaw-dropping and so entertaining. He engaged the whole crowd and brought people up to interact with the magic, did some Halloween-inspired magic, and everyone had the absolute best time. We were loving the show so much that he even went a little overtime. He was rolling with the crowd's jokes and made us all laugh so many times. He even stayed after and graciously spoke with some of my friends who had many questions. Overall, I absolutely recommend Gene! Adding a magic show to a Halloween party was an unexpected blast!

From the youngest child to pre-teens, they all loved Gene. Our open house community event had multiple visitors go up afterwards and request Gene's information for other parties. Gene was a home run for our event.

What to Expect
My shows and performances are very interactive. Yo don't just sit and watch you get involved in the magic.
Humor, drama, excitement, gasps, stories, impossibilities are all part of what you will experience when I perform.
I tailor my act/ show/ magic to the group or audience that I am working for at the moment. Kids will see a different show than will the businessmen at a cocktail party.
Gene's show is flexible, fun, magical and memorable... I've had many describe me that way in the past. I can do the same for you.
About
Hi, I am Gene R. Gordon... Ok you knew that already. How about some background. I am a Colorado native who has been performing, lecture and studying magic for about 30 years! Years ago as a teenager I was in several plays. Some of my fellow performer taught me some magic and juggling. Well the magic stuck I guess because a few years later I started working at a magic shop call "Zeezo's magic castle" her in the local mall. Well as they say "the rest is now history". I started doing Birthday party gigs (which I still do) and doing sleight of hand entertaining in several of the local restaurants.
Now after 30 yrs I've entertained and performed in almost every imaginable type of situation you can think of. Birthday party's in living rooms- yes, stage shows - yes, close up shows -yes, street and festival magic - yes, restaurant/ walk around magic -yes, grand openings, weddings, anniversary, trade shows, yes yes yes and yes. I still find time to study magic (which I love to do) and teach and give lectures on magic to magician's around the country.
Do I still love magic in all it's varieties, types and styles... yes more than ever. That's way when I do perform this passion comes through to the audience. And then we can share the fun and mystery of magic together.

Influences & Inspiration
The classic masters of magic whom I've studied for years. I have local friends and colleges who have influenced me over the years. People Like Dave Neighbors, Ken Simmons, Dave Walker, Doc Eason and others. I still get most of my magic from classic magic text books. Though performers that I admire include David Copperfield, Penn and Teller, Mac King, Max Maven, Bill Malone, John Carney, and many other well respected pros.
