Miss Ginger Snaps, The Tastiest Tease in Texas, is a founding member of Austin’s Black Widow Burlesque. She has been performing for five years and driving crowds wild with her unique approach to striptease! Recently Ginger has been incorporating aerial dance into her acts. She is a member of the Sky Candy Studio Company and the burlesque teacher at Sky Candy. Ginger has performed across the country in festivals including the Texas Burlesque Festival ((phone number hidden)4), Dallas Burlesque Festival, San Antonio Burlesque Festival, the 2012 and 2013 Austin Pride Festival, The Great Southern Exposure, The Southwest Burlesque Showcase, and has twice been nominated for an audience choice award at TXBF!

An exciting and unique burlesque performance! This ain't your Momma's strut and strip!
Ginger Snaps has been performing burlesque for over five years now and incorporating aerial dance for the past year. Prior to entering the burlesque scene she studied many forms of dance in college and is experienced in swing, basic ballet, jazz, and tap! She is know for her diverse performances from high energy comedic numbers to lyrical aerial striptease.
Prior to performing, Ginger was an event producer for all sorts of events ranging from small comedy shows to full scale arena rock concerts. Ginger is also very experienced in lighting and sound having worked as a technician for both, and she can bring these experiences to the table to even help you co-produce an event should you need it or be producing from another city!
Ginger Snaps is known as "The Tastiest Tease in Texas" and her acts come in many flavors! Her most acclaimed pieces are "Crazy Cat Lady," where she strips off cats to reveal a high energy dance piece, "Lola," a gender-bending romp set to music from The Kinks, "Origin of Love," a lyrical aerial hoop number, and her brand new "Lucky Leprechaun," featuring her taking a "bath" in a giant bowl of Lucky Charms! Ginger is experienced in classical burlesque performance including fan dances, jazz age numbers, glove and gown numbers, isis wings, and flowy dramatic costumed performances, as well as neo burlesque focusing on contemporary music and comedic performance. When incorporating aerial performance, her preferred apparatus are lyra and sling.

Crazy Cat Lady
Ginger brings one of her passions to the stage with this act, Cats! In this number Ginger portrays her alter ego and shows you how even the craziest of cat ladies can bring out the sex appeal! Nominated for a 2013 Texas Burlesque Festival Audience Choice award, this act is sure to get you laughing and cheering!
Origin of Love (on Lyra)
This number is performed to “Origin of Love” from Hedwig and the Angry Inch and is one of Ginger’s most dramatic and beautiful numbers. Featuring a lyrical performance on her spinning lyra and custom dazzling costume from Sew She Said, this number is a true show-stopper!
Lucky The Leprechaun
This act is a tribute to king of breakfast cereals, Lucky Charms! It begins with Ginger narrowly escaping those darn kids and escalates with her getting down and dirty to the sweet sounds of Die Antwoord! In the finale, Ginger steps into the giant bowl on stage and takes a bath in her Lucky Charms and Milk! This number received a standing ovation at it’s premiere and is sure to leave the audience sticky and sweet :)
Fragile
This number explores darker themes featuring the song “Fragile” from Nine Inch Nails. Ginger spins and twirls in her diaphanous blue chiffon costuming while inviting the audience to peek behind the wall all performers put up.
Classic meets Contemporary
In this act Ginger starts you off with a classic striptease out of her slinky blush gown and down to her sparkling skivvies! The mood of the number then shifts darker as the sultry sounds of a deep industrial song break forth and Ginger breaks into a seductive fan dance to enthrall the audience! (Seen at Texas Burlesque Festival 2011 and Hot Rods and Heels 2011)
Lola
Set to The Kinks “Lola,” Ginger takes you on a two and a half gender romp through her idea of what that man in the bar may have come across! This act elicits squeals of surprised delight whenever she performs it and is a personal favorite of Ginger’s. But if you sit too close to the stage, watch out for glitter spooge! Nominated for a 2012 Texas Burlesque Festival Audience Choice Award, this number is one of Ginger’s most memorable!
Good to Ginger
A Twist on the classic song “When You’re Good to Mama,” Ginger does a provocative striptease while singing her version of “Good to Ginger” and giving you some tit for tat!
Pussy
Ginger loves nothing more than a little tongue-in-cheek fun, and shows that off in this tribute to one of her favorite animals! Ginger performs this number to Lords of Acid’s “Pussy” and frolics about the stage in her feline best! Everyone loves a playful little kitty and you’ll see what happens when you give this one a little catnip!
Nosferatu
Ginger performs a creepy sexy number as one of horror’s ultimate villains, Nosferatu! Be prepared to be simultaneously turned on…and a little creeped out!
Dia De Los Ginger
This is Ginger’s tribute to Dia de los Muertos. Performed to Malaguena, Ginger takes you through all the musical nuances of this classic song with her delicate fan work and tempting teases of skin! (seen at Dallas Burlesque Festival 2010)
