I had no idea what I was doing when looking for some kind of entertainment for a non-traditional wedding celebration. I came across The George Farrell band on Gig Salad, listened to the demo and took a chance on hiring them. Turns out I must have great instinct because they were beyond perfect. This is not some run of the mill event band. They are the real deal. Truly talented, professional, friendly and no fuss. I knew I didn't have to worry about anything the second they started playing. Our goal for this event was to provide a new experience for our guests and George Farrell and the band delivered. Everyone loved them. I have to admit I didn't do much shopping around for competitive pricing and the like but I honestly have no regrets about that. They were worth every cent. Thanks George and the guys!
I hired the George Farrell Group on short notice to play my wife's 40th bday party. I had never done anything like this but thought it would be a nice addition to the event. George was incredibly professional organizing things ahead of time as he understood our needs and the event. His web site is professional and spot on with what was delivered. He and the band arrived early, stayed late and in between amazed the party-goers with an easy going tasteful jazz style played by a professional 3-piece and 4-piece (sax added) crew. This band was unknown to me when I started searching. Once I found them and talked with George Farrell - all searching stopped! George is a true professional. He has a great website, will talk to you on the phone, email with nervous mothers of the bride and provide the best jazz band in the whole Boston area. George was understanding of our personal needs, was willing and able to play a list of requested music and made sure that his whole group made a good presentation. I would unconditionally recommend George Farrell and his Jazz Band for any function. I am SO glad that I found him.
We hired the George Farrell Band for a corporate event in Worcester. From the beginning, it was an excellent experience and we enjoyed working with them. George was easy to commute with, they was reasonable in dealing with the budget that we had for our event and our guests enjoyed the band all evening. We had many comments about their talents. In addition to Sinatra, Cole Porter and George Gershwin, we also include various Latin and Brazilian selections by artists like Jobim and Tito Puente, Pop/rock of the Beatles and R&B/Motown sounds of Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. We usually work as an instrumental trio or quartet, but we can add a vocalist to the group if necessary. We are happy to work with you and customize our musical selections to your taste. In addition to many live appearances, we have appeared on “TV Diner” on New England Cable News and “Jazz Talk” on Rhode Island cable TV. Let us set the perfect tone for your event!
