Grant performed at a birthday party we threw in Long Island. He was timely, professional and sounded great. The party had a wonderful arc, and by the end everyone was dancing and singing along. Would highly recommend Grant.

Grant was amazing. We hired him for our wedding. I didn't want to go the usual route of hiring a dj. I think djs are tacky for wedding, and who wants to do the cha cha slide at a wedding? The wedding was in a barn filled with antiques and rustic decor. Having a musician made it fit the vibe better. Grant provided a list of songs that he knows- over 400 songs. I selected a bunch from jazz to indie that went with my theme. He also learned the songs for our first dances since they were not in his library. And if you are afraid that no one will get on the dance floor since there's no dj? You're wrong. Guests that were adults and kids were on the dance floor. Everyone had a great time and loved the music and his singing. My cousin who is a music teacher first thought it was a recording that was playing, that is how great Grant sounded. I would recommend Grant for any event

I invited Grant to perform on our special day and I just have to say he is an incredible vocalist and guitarist. I gave him about a months notice and he learned two Taylor swift songs (gf favorites) and played for the whole hour. My family and friends were amazed. Grant is a very kind soul and incredibly flexible for last minute changes. I could not recommend him more for any proposal .

Grant sang for my anniversary party, He was polite, punctual and professional. He did all the songs I requested and played them very well, he was quick to set up and start playing and when he was done he quickly cleaned up knowing we had dinner reservations after the event. Not only is Grant extremely talented, he is professional and absolutely lovely to work with. His response time is immediate and he made it very simple to book. I think we had two conversations that lasted less than 10 minutes each. So efficient! Everyone at my party raved about Grant. He drove all the way out from BK to the end of Long Island and then back to BK. He even stayed later than we had originally spoke about, without any complaints. He played everything from Billy Joel to Drake. When he was taking his breaks he kept the music going with background music. He exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Grant to anyone looking for a talented singing guitarist.

Grant did an amazing job playing at my wedding. My now-wife had a very specific list of songs and genres of music she wanted and Grant was one of the very few with the range and talent to pull it off. He has an extremely broad repertoire and also has a number of original songs. I heard nothing but praise from my wedding guests during and after the reception.

My wife was ultimately extremely happy with the music. I also had a very complicated wedding due to beyond-the-norm in-law disagreements and complexity, but Grant was the one single wedding person I dealt with who from beginning to end was a consummate professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. We also made a significant additional on-the-spot change (extending the music) for which we reached an agreement in probably 30 seconds, and he gave me a discount to boot. Hire this man.

I contacted Grant to play some music for when I proposed to my now fiance as she is a huge fan of acoustic.
I was nervous to reach out to someone I didn't know and put faith in them on such an important moment in our lives that required some careful coordination and timing to get it right.
Grant nailed it! He responded quickly and was extremely helpful through out the process. We chatted on the phone beforehand and he really took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and how to make the day special.
We even had a last minute re-scheduling due to family member of ours getting covid, and Grant was very understanding and we re-scheduled without worry.
The day of was perfect. Grant was set up on time right where we asked him to be when my fiance and I approached and did an excellent rendition of a few of her favorite songs.
My fiance still talks about how great it was.

Grant did great! My girl loved the way he played the song, even if in the moment I made my proposal maybe she didn’t understand too much what was going on!! Maybe the only thing, is that an amplifier for the guitar would have been better to have, there were other players on the Bow Bridge where we met, and at some point they were all playing at the same time! Except this, Grant did amazing!

Grant gave us an ideal performance for our small wedding. He had a sense of music sequencing, responsive, easy to set up contract, on time, accommodated our musical taste, knew how to read audience, worked cooperatively with the venue. Was flexible with the iffy weather and limited space. A good value. I'd recommend him for any VIP event. I book entertainment for corporate events, so it was appreciated we could secure such a strong professional for our personal one.

We hired Grant to perform at our intimate wedding celebration. His music was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Grant kept our guests dancing from cocktail hour straight through the evening. The event was truly magical and we could not have done it without him.
Grant's music selection was perfect when dancing and while guests were dining. He adds extra beats while playing along with music/percussion from his ipad, so there isn't a need for a full band at all when he is playing. His song selection was versatile, classics and pop hits. Many guests asked for Grant's contact information throughout the night and everyone was full of compliments for him.
We plan to refer Grant to all our friends and family for future events! I could not recommend him more highly. Very kind, communicate throughout the process. Arrived hours ahead of schedule to ensure set up was perfect and played amazing music throughout the night. THANK YOU!!

Grant has great vocals, skillful guitar fingers, and a really positive vibe all around. He helped me pull off the details for an anniversary surprise for my wife and even added a few new tunes to his repertoire on our behalf. We can’t speak highly enough of Grant and his band. We had a Sunday afternoon wedding and were pretty specific in what we were looking for - Grant was responsive, collaborative, creative, and a joy to work with both leading up to the big day and the day of. Grant performed solo (during our ceremony) and as a trio for the party. He and the band are so talented!! They played all the music we love and had a great mix of soft cocktail style music plus dance party Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston! Grant played for our small wedding (40 ppl), but I would absolutely recommend him for any event size. From the first time we connected, Grant was extremely nice and easy to work with. Based on the size of the venue we discussed options and decided that he would play guitar along with another musician (bassist). He has a pretty extensive catalog, and Grant made it easy for us to pick specific songs, as well as give him a sense of the kind of music we wanted to hear. We recently hosted a backyard wine & cheese party for my mother's retirement and Grant was the perfect pairing for the party. We had a range of ages at the party and Grant was able to accommodate all of our guests with a great song-list. His looping talents added a full sound to his music and he has an incredible voice. When the party called for background music that wouldn't drown out conversation, he went soft, and when guests were looking to sing-a-long, he picked it up. Everyone wanted his contact info and I strongly recommend him for any type of event!

My husband and I could not have been happier with having Grant be a part of our wedding in Philadelphia. After searching and searching for the right fit of a wedding band, we felt as if we struck gold when we came across Grant. Like the title says. I'm not confident, but I'm pretty sure he's the best. Grant was touring down through the south and we were able to snag him for a night on a recommendation from a friend. He's a great singer, great guitarist, and had incredible range in his song selection. A lot of it was R&B or classic rock, but he also pulled out an amazing Territorial Pissings, by Nirvana, which was a delight. Can't recommend him enough.

Grant played for my mom's 80th birthday party and was amazing. So flexible and easy to work with it. Showed up on time, played great tunes mostly from the 50s and 60s as it was an 80th bday party. He also was very polite with some demanding guests and made everyone happy.

We were so pleased with the performance of Swift Glidden at our fundraiser in October 2016. They were very professional and talented! Everyone loved their set so much, we ended up paying them to stay longer for an additional set! I highly recommend this group, it is a real pleasure to work with Grant.

Swift Glidden played guitar to accompany our wedding ceremony in Prospect Park. His music was seamlessly part of the event, using musical transitions to indicate transitions in the ceremony. Procession goes on two times longer than expected? Don't worry, he can flexibly and subtly riff to extend songs or cut songs short.

He was also a huge help in choosing our music selection. While we had specific requests for some parts of the ceremony, we didn't have much of an idea what to do for others. He was able to draw on his extensive musical library to come up with the perfect songs to match the emotions we were going for.

His repertoire includes not only the usual acoustic songs, but a huge library of songs that are far from acoustic guitar in their original forms, which he has adapted into sometimes surprising, clever, and always great sounding music.

They were awesome! So friendly and really talented guys. Myself along with my guests really enjoyed their music. I was so happy with the whole process! booking with Gigsalad and correspondence with Andy was so easy. They set-up on time and were the perfect addition to my event. I highly recommend Mac/Glidden to anyone looking for music entertainment. They had a nice vibe and played most of my requests and a great variety of tunes that sounded great. I really liked the fact that the music wasn't too loud. You could really enjoy the music and still have a conversation which I think my guests really enjoyed.Definitely looking forward to booking Mac/Glidden for future events.

Andy + Grant played at our wedding reception at a local restaurant here in Brooklyn, we booked them a week out as we are big procrastinators, and they were absolutely fantastic from being MORE than accommodating with our ever-changing schedule to playing particular songs at our request to just being generally great guys..they are so talented and just blew our minds. I think literally every person at our wedding commented on how much they loved their performance and music selection and we couldn't agree more. I only wish we could have enjoyed their music all day long but I guess the day had to end at some point :) Thanks again to you guys - you made our wedding a hit!!

I booked MacGlidden based on the recommendation of a co-worker for my husband's 30th birthday party.
I can't believe how much I lucked out with this band.. Andy and Grant were friendly and professional. They were beyond accommodating and played and sang BEAUTIFULLY! They played everything from The Beatles to No Doubt and were very sweet about taking requests and learning a couple of songs (including some Sam Cook and Hey Ya by Outcast!) that I asked them to play as a surprise.
Guests were dancing from the first song, and commenting on the great music all night! I can't recommend these guys enough!!
