I'm a Chicagoland musician able to perform solo or with my band for your event. I've toured with Jay Leno, Sister Hazel, and other notable artists. I have also provided music and production services for SHARP, Samsung, and other corporations all over the U.S. (International travel also available).
I pride myself on my professionalism and ability to cater to the audience or guests at any event - covering a wide range of styles and genres and making sure my clients are thrilled with the performance.
"Gregory Hyde seamlessly leaps across genres and effortlessly blends classic and modern covers, along with originals that hold their ground among chart-topping hits." -- Chicago Sun-Times
Gregory was awesome, we had a really great experience! Very talented playing the guitar and also has a great voice, he nailed the performance!
Gregory was punctual and very accommodating. Our ceremony was running slightly late, Gregory played some beautiful
music while we we’re waiting for some guests to arrive. He has a great voice and his guitar abilities are fantastic. We were very pleased and would highly recommend Gregory for any event.
Response from Gregory Hyde:
Thanks so much, Claudia! I was honored to be part of your wedding ceremony and wish you and Charles the best in your marriage.
Gregory was amazing. If you want to get people talking, hire him! I am still getting compliments after he played my wife’s birthday and blended perfectly with the party while wowing at the same time. He dressed up for the theme of the party, was early, and played non stop. Seriously, he was incredible! Thanks again Gregory!
We had planned to have the event outside, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Gregory was great. We quickly changed course and he set up in the basement. We had a bout 30 people and he did a great job of knowing when to blend in and when to engage with our guests. Singing and guitar playing were excellent. We're already planning another event with him.
Response from Gregory Hyde:
Thanks, Pete! I greatly appreciate the kindness and hospitality you showed me. It was a fun party despite the weather -- I'd be glad to return for a future event any time.
Gregory is so talented; he added so much fun to our event. I HIGHLY recommend him.
We plan to invite him back later this summer!
Response from Gregory Hyde:
Thanks, Sarah! So glad you guys enjoyed the music. It was a super fun time and I look forward to working with you again soon!
I previously experienced this musician working at a venue and was taken aback by how amazing he sounded. Booked him for my own wedding a year later without hesitation and was not disappointed. Mr Hyde is not only a very talented musician but a friendly and honest man as well. His band also deserves equal recognition; in many instances their covers sounded better than the original songs. If you’re a fan of the alternative 90’s-2000’s music, you will love Mr Hyde and his crew.
Gregory was pleasure to work with before the during the event. Always tried be open, accommodating and responsive. Very nice personality and a real professional. He has amazing skills and diversity in what he can play.
Highly recommend!
Gregory played and sang for our wedding ceremony. He is a wonderful musician with a beautiful voice. He quickly responded to emails and helped us with our choices. He arrived early, dressed professionally, consulted with the wedding planner and the officiant and was sensitive to the timing of events during the ceremony. Everyone commented on the beautiful music. We couldn't be more pleased. Thanks Gregory!
I hired him for my mom's surprise 60th birthday party and I couldn't have made a better choice! The song choices were great, the interaction with the crowd was great, his voice was amazing, need I say more? He was also very accommodating. I thought he was supposed to be there an hour before he was actually scheduled for, and within 10 mins of talking to him on the phone, he showed up. We were also having such a great time at the party and asked him to stay an hour or so later than he had planned on staying and he did it without hesitation! If you have an event that you are in need of entertainment, Gregory is your guy!
Response from Gregory Hyde:
Thanks so much Cayla! I greatly appreciate the kind words. I'm thrilled that you, your mom, and your guests had such a good time. Best regards, Gregory
Gregory is very talented and was perfect in providing an example for our student body of an individual using his talents to make a difference in the arts. He put on an impressive conclusion to our Fine Arts Festival not only through musical gift, but also by seeing the importance of working with and communicating to his audience. Gregory was flexible and easy to work with in this setting. I definitely see another performance of his in our future. Thanks so much, Gregory!!!

I pride myself on my professionalism - I always arrive early with plenty of time for set-up, load in, etc. I am trained as an audio engineer (I run my own project studio) and can handle all of my own sound needs, as well as interface with any on-site sound technicians to make sure the audio is of the highest quality we can achieve.
I can bring a high-energy, danceable acoustic show that gets people involved and singing along. Or I can provide a laid-back ambience for an intimate mixer. I never fail to cater to the situation at hand and keep my performance in line with the spirit and tone of the event.
My guitar work and vocal abilities have won me numerous awards and will be appreciated by anyone in attendance.
I've been asked back for multiple performances by every major venue and corporation I've played for. SHARP Electronics even hired me over 2 consecutive years to travel the U.S. and play for each of their national dealer and sales conferences - they cited my reliability and preferred paying my airfare over gambling with different artists in each city along the conference tour.
I'm confident I can bring a level of class, energy, and professionalism to any event that will surpass expectations.
Gregory Hyde is a Chicago-based Singer/Songwriter who crafts inventive, intelligent, bombastic songs - often with a menacing edge. His tunes are riddled with nuances of slick pop hits, blues, classic rock, and even a Southern sensibility that creeps in from his formative years living on the outskirts of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Hyde has toured the U.S., performed live on nationally syndicated radio shows, had his songs placed in award-winning films, documentaries, & cable television shows, has sold over 7,000 copies of his independently produced albums, garnered a Billboard Music World Songwriting Competition award for the Rock category, and still plays upwards of 200 solo acoustic shows and private events a year.
He's received comparisons to a broad array of artists such as Neon Trees, The Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Jeff Buckley, The Eagles, and Weezer.
Gregory has toured with and shared the stage as an opening artist for such noteable performers as 10,000 Maniacs, Sister Hazel, Los Lonely Boys, Edwin McCain, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Smithereens, Tesla, Guster, American Idol winner Lee DeWyze, Air Supply, and many others at venues like The House of Blues, as well as the historic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN. He was also recently given the honor of singing the national anthem for The Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Stadium.
The first entry in his new multi-EP project, "The Bellevue Sessions, Vol. 01" was just released to strong critic and fan reviews.

2. A COMPLETELY FLAT & DRY surface for both me and my gear to be on.
