Grey Street is an acoustic duo from Okotoks, Alberta that plays live shows, hosts open mics, and hosts an Ultimate Live Name That Song game at live music establishments in the foothills and the Okotoks surrounding area. With Grey Street you get a dose of rock, folk, country, and even a few originals.
These two guys are awesome. They play a wide range of music and keep the crowd engaged and having fun. I highly recommend Grey Street for events big and small.

Grey Street focuses on music that makes us feel something. We focus on songs with strong vocal parts. Songs with great vocal parts are some of favourites. We typically play shows where the audience are at least somewhat engaged with the music, though we can also provide more of a background sound track if that is what is needed. Our banter between songs is short and often at least a little humorous.
In addition to concert style shows an d background music, we also provide Open Mic hosting services as well as a game we call Ultimate Live Name That Song. Our Open Mic is a great way to provide a stage for your event participants while still having a musical act on site to fill the gaps if need be. On the other hand the Ultimate Live Name That Song game is ideal if you want to both engage and entertain your event participants. Our game is set up to be both entertaining for those who aren't playing the game as well as fun for the game players. It is also worth noting that we can do this game without any singing if Covid-19 restrictions make this necessary. It's maybe one of the only live music events you can do with popular music that doesn't require singing and yet is still entertaining and engaging.
Introducing Grey Street! 28+ years ago Jay and Anthony took the stage together for the first time and began a long journey playing music together. I know what you’re thinking, “after nearly three decades of music, I’m sure I would have heard of these guys if they were any good.” Well...you have a point. So our only suggestion is that you need to check us out and see what you’ve been missing over the past 28 years of your life. Grey Street might just be the thing you have been looking for your entire life. You can’t know for sure without coming out to see them. You should come out to see them. Come out to see them. Just come.
What do they play? Grey Street likes great songs and doesn’t rely on just the radio to find them. So expect to hear something new from time to time, but you can also expect a good proportion of songs you know and love. What genre is Grey Street? What genre ISN’T Grey Street?! In fact they are not a lot of genres, but some of what they are is rock, both classic and not, blues, folk, singer songwriter, blue grass, country, and alternative.
As a primarily acoustic duo, Grey Street can be quite flexible as far as locations and space are concerned. We have played living rooms with no sound system and we have played outdoors with a full sound system. So if you have space or volume concerns, we can work with you to come up with something that works.
We are a fully self sufficient act. If we are providing all of our own sound gear we charge a little extra to cover wear and tear. When we are providing sound gear and lights we like to allow for about 1.5-2 hours to setup before we play and we will need 1 hour or so to pack up after our show.
If you have your own gear we will still use some of our own things like mics and likely stands. Of course we can be flexible. What we would need is channels to accommodate 2 vocal mics, 2 acoustic guitars, 1 bass guitar, 1 looper channel, and 1 stereo input for audio coming off an iPad.
