Gypsy Guitars pays tribute to the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli, as well as other Gypsy Jazz artists. The music is a distinct European style of American jazz, and can be lively and energetic or mellow and romantic. Some tunes will inspire dancing while others may remind the listener of an evening stroll through the streets of Paris. As well as containing a variety of moods, the music bears an element of sophistication to it, and can accommodate almost any live situation.
We wondered in at the end of their show at the Conundrum on Saturday night. The music was lovely! the artists seem to pay close attention to each other and their music always flowed well. I just wish I had caught more of their performance.
